bvlenci
In September, I acquired the 2021 M340d, which was a notable upgrade over the 2019 320d model. I must express my astonishment at the performance and features of the vehicle. The automobile is rather impressive. In eco mode, the vehicle achieves a fuel efficiency of over 60 miles per gallon on motorways. However, when switched to sport plus mode, the fuel efficiency drops to an estimated range of 25-30 miles per gallon, accompanied by a significant increase in performance. This enhanced performance may result in a notable decrease of around 5 miles per gallon, but it is likely to be compensated by the enjoyable driving experience. I just had the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) body kit installed, and I must express my astonishment and enthusiasm with the outcome. The automobile has been fully assembled. Matt865
Please wait for a few months until you become accustomed to the performance of the vehicle. At that point, you may find yourself desiring a remap. I hope that the manufacturer has addressed the increasingly common issue of bottom end failures, particularly the crankshaft's big end bearing failure. Although there are not many instances of this problem occurring in cars that utilise the N57 engine from the F series, I have come across eight failures on a Facebook forum I am a member of. Additionally, a garage I frequent, where the technicians have previous experience working for BMW, informed me that they have encountered several cases of bottom end failures. I understand that your car is new and covered by warranty, but if you plan on keeping it for more than three years, I recommend conducting oil services no later than every 10,000 miles, preferably every 6,000 miles. I wish you the best of luck with your car.Powerful engines and high levels of torque.

bvlenci
Thus far, no issues have arisen, but my 320 had a few complications. Manufacturing defects and product recalls. One of the factors that influenced my decision to get the M340d was the extended duration of the warranty. Indeed, the remapping process is now being taken into account. VWDaveBMW
The aesthetic appeal of the m340i tourer is very remarkable, and I am now in the process of finalising my purchase for this vehicle within the next week.
bvlenci
One will get great enjoyment in it. I have not personally experienced driving the 340i; but, based on the information I have gathered, it is expected that the level of satisfaction derived from owning a 340i would be comparable to that of 340d owners. The additional storage capacity will prove to be quite valuable.
ianwh4
Vehicles of this kind possess a considerable degree of license-endangering potential on British roadways, even in their factory configuration. Consequently, one may question the rationale of desiring to modify their engine control unit.
bvlenci
The assertion made is reasonable; yet, the responsibility for driving behaviour ultimately rests with the driver, who has the agency to make decisions about their vehicle operation. A driver's licence may be revoked for non-compliance with speed limitations in any motor vehicle. Â
badgx
It has been suggested that any modification to a motor remap has the potential to render the warranty null and void. This is a factor that should be carefully considered.
bvlenci
Indeed, it is quite likely that it will. I would only do the task after the expiration of the warranty period. Is it accurate to assert that the 340d model has been discontinued? Has it been removed from the BMW website?
Trevorseaf
The individual has just transitioned to the "dark side" by acquiring an M340d MHT xDrive vehicle, therefore departing from their previous ownership of a 335d F31 xDrive model that had undergone a remapping process by Evolve, resulting in increased power output to 370 horsepower and 750 Newton metres of torque. I have never had a desire to get a hybrid vehicle, but it seems that there are few options available for acquiring a sufficiently agile diesel-powered vehicle in the present day. The M340 has a higher level of refinement and smoothness, while also demonstrating exceptional fuel efficiency. The improved construction of the product has resulted in enhanced performance and reduced noise levels. The frequency at which the engine disengages and enters a freewheeling state during casual driving, particularly due to its inconspicuous nature, is quite remarkable. The durability of the 48v batteries in these devices has yet to be determined. I really like the performance of the 335d, however, it is worth noting that despite the M340d having a little lower output of 340 horsepower and 720 Newton-meters of torque as standard, it exhibits comparable acceleration and even greater ease of power delivery. The ability to achieve rapid and seamless travel, particularly when surpassing other vehicles on A/B routes, only by using the low-end torque, is really remarkable. Given the ease with which these models may be tuned via the OBD connection, I will undoubtedly be enticed to do so....solely for recreational purposes. spiezen
I had a BMW F30 335d equipped with a maximum power output of 370 brake horsepower. Subsequently, I made the acquisition of the 340d model. It is worth noting that the 340d, in its original state, exhibits a much higher level of acceleration compared to a 335d that has undergone mapping, but only up to around 70 miles per hour. The potential of the m340d is likely to be remarkable. The reason for the current inability to map the 340d is not yet understood. The potential consequence of such an action would be a significant disruption to the m3 market. The torque shown by the 340d is commendable. When combined with the electric motor, the vehicle exhibits immediate power without any delay. Having previously owned a modified 335d RS3. The m340d is an exceptionally powerful and effective tool. The 335d had impressive speed, yet its handling characteristics were reminiscent of an elderly person attempting to locate a Nokia 3210 mobile phone.
