E400d AMG Line Night Edition 4Matic downsized wheels
WiseSage replied to CyberNinja's topic in General Discussions
Does an online brochure exist? If applicable, it would be informative to ascertain the standard size and optional size wheels for each trim or version, with the assumption that there are no non-standard improved brakes present. The gasoline flap cover displays the wheel sizes, which may include all variations of the model rather than being specific to your own vehicle. What is the current amount of space between the wheel and calliper? -
Determining the Optimal Dash Cam Selection
WiseSage replied to IrvesBMW's topic in General Discussions
In my E46, I have installed a Mobius action camera. The item remains within the vehicle and has a compact and inconspicuous nature. The clarity of the images is satisfactory, since it is crucial for the ability to discern and read number plates accurately. The Innovv C3 is the only dashcam model I am aware of that has a lens attached to a flexible lead, mostly used by bikers. -
The windshield wiper on the passenger side is non-functional.

Please verify whether your vehicle is equipped with a designated 'service position' for the purpose of removing the wiper blades. There is likely someone within this community who has the knowledge or expertise to provide an answer. The vehicle automatically positions the windshield wipers in an optimal location to ensure their safe withdrawal. I am uncertain about the specific models that provide this feature. One point should be awarded for correctly using the appropriate puller in order to detach the wiper arms. It is advisable to refrain from removing them. Apply a little amount of anti-seize compound prior to reinstallation onto the spindle. -

The majority of automobiles equipped with two windshield wipers are typically operated by a single motor, which is connected to the wipers using a linkage mechanism. The appearance of a 2006 C class vehicle is seen in the above image, prior to undergoing any cleaning procedures. Uncertain about the appearance of yours, my assumption is that it will bear little dissimilarity. -
May I kindly request that you retransmit the pertinent information on the individual located in Leeds? I am intending to make a purchase and have the items completed subsequent to the commencement of the new year.

Thank you, I will proceed with doing a search for the individual in question.

Is it possible to get LED rear lights for a 2007 Audi A5 (model year 57)? If so, could you please provide information on where they can be purchased? Furthermore, it is important to consider the individuals capable of accommodating these items and the level of ease associated with the process. I express my gratitude for your assistance.

Regarding the concept of model numbers. The vehicle I own is classified as a W205 model, yet the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the V5 document indicates it as a W204 model. When I sought clarification from both the DVLA and this forum some years ago, I was informed that the proper figure is 204, with 205 being an extension of that value. It is noteworthy that I recently made a purchase of tires, and the firm, without any solicitation on my part, provided a quotation specifying the tire size as 205. It seems that model numbers do not have exclusive significance.

I apologize for resurrecting a previous discussion, but I am now encountering a same problem. This includes the observation that the noise ceases upon removal of the gas cap and resumes upon its reattachment. It would be quite advantageous to get knowledge on the solution to this issue. I express my gratitude in advance for your assistance.

Last week, I enrolled in Start Rescue for both myself and my spouse. The provided insurance policy offers coverage for both passengers, including the user, and any vehicle they may be operating, at a cost of £109 per year. The one stipulation is that it does not provide coverage for vans beyond a decade in age. My breakdown services are primarily focused on the convenience and practicality of transporting your malfunctioning car to your residence. This approach is informed by my own experience as a technician.

Mine sounds great when revved in neutral when idling. It makes a clunk or a rattling noise between 1 and 1500 rpm when you put it in drive, but after it warms up, everything is good.😃

Can an injector cause a warning light to activate?
-
Depending on your location, I might perhaps load it into a trailer and deliver it to you.😅
-
That's the cost I've been quoted by several independent garages. I should probably make an appearance at the dealers.

Between Aberdeen and Dundee, Montrose is a reasonable option.
-
Nothing's happened yet It makes a rattling sound between 1 and 1500 rpm while cold, but disappears after the engine is warmed up.

My 2013 520d msport automatic is fully loaded. I was quoted £1800 to replace the timing chain on my 13-year-old vehicle; should I bother with the repair, or sell the car for what it's worth in Scotland?

My belief in "Animism" leads me to assert that in addition to having their own spirit, inanimate items are just as real as living things and locations. All the more so with automobiles. I can say with confidence that if you take good care of, maintain, and clean your automobile, it will reward you with many happy years together. Too often have I seen automobiles I lusted over but could never afford rotting away in scrap yards because their owners were unable to care for them properly. And it has always bothered me that those who could afford to acquire things often did not treat them with the same level of care. On the other hand, I can't help but respect the drivers of vintage convertibles and coupés who brave the dry summer highways. Vehicles that have been out of production for decades but are nonetheless meticulously maintained are a credit to their owners.

I, too, was confused by Number 5 (m25). Fast-lane, 40-mph autonomous driving 😐

Many thanks to everyone who assisted me with my current predicament about wheels of varying sizes. A solution has been found in this matter as a result of the efforts of a skilled dealer. The gentleman working at Mercland, Jay, is a true gem. Who else do you know who would assist me over the course of the next three years after I acquired the automobile from him? Jay came upon a pair of 17-inch AMG wheels that had just been powder coated and included very decent tyres. He offered to sell them to me at a very attractive price, as seen in the picture below. I was concerned that the arches would seem less full with the decrease of one inch, but that was not the case at all. Also, a huge thank you to Mick at F&M powder coating in Preston, who put up with all of the difficulty and effectively lost money as a result of the situation. I strongly recommend that you get in touch with them if you are located anywhere around Preston and need work to be done on your wheels. One more question: given that the wheels are now 17 inches rather than 18 inches, how do I determine the appropriate pressure for the tyres? This forum is fantastic!

DOT inspectors routinely verify the work of MOT inspectors. Their certification may be revoked if they are determined to be delinquent in their role as an assessor. Think for a second that they would put their credibility and financial stability at risk for anything so stupid? -
The pleasure is all mine.😎

At least that's what I've been told; personally, I find turning off the keyless entry system in the vehicle to be more convenient. Since my Tiguan won't open while I'm in close proximity, I always do this before locking it up for the night. Temporarily disabling keyless entry is as simple as locking the vehicle with the key fob and then touching the door handle as if you were locking it keylessly within 5 seconds (I guess). If you have your mirrors set to fold on lock, I've found the easiest way to activate them is to touch the door handle while they're folding; this causes a little pause during which the dangers will flash, and then the mirrors will fold to their final position. It's helpful to know there's a backup system in addition to the keyless, disarmed one mentioned above, since there is no easy method to verify its actual functionality with the sleeping keys.
