Recall for EGR Replacement and Software Update.
WiseSage replied to WiseSage's topic in General Discussions
MB reports a malfunctioning valve, resulting in coolant inducing a chemical reaction inside a plastic manifold. Potential fire hazard; hundreds of thousands of vehicles subject to recall. They assert that it is not an emissions issue, but rather a fire hazard recall. Google corroborates this with the European Commission Alert Systems and Car Recalls EU. I would never let them to access my emissions software, haha! -
Everything is occurring today. Recall 2090008 - replace the EGR cooler and update the engine electrical software. Has anybody else had this procedure? What was the duration? Did you see any variation? It is ostensibly a fire danger. I interrogated Mercedes on the Emissions Software, since I want to avoid any association with it. A colleague's Volkswagen was subsequently damaged, resulting in diminished performance and fuel efficiency. I am now awaiting a call to finalise the booking.

Risks of Purchasing Used Rather Than New
WiseSage replied to ForumGuru's topic in General Discussions
My goodness! The second-hand market was formerly straightforward to traverse. I am currently seated in a dealership, and from the discussions I have eavesdropped on in the sales area, the sales environment appears to be quite chaotic. I observed two individuals entering; one was terminating an exorbitant PCP agreement (his monthly payment was comparable to my mortgage for a modest vehicle) and replacing it with a more economical car (presumably at the conclusion of the contract), while the other couple appeared to have received an incorrect order, which they vociferously contested. Aside from rental or business vehicles, is purchasing a new car currently worthwhile, considering the elevated fees and monthly payments due to high interest rates? -

Consumer law in Turkey markedly differs from that in the UK. I trust you will achieve a satisfactory resolution. -

Despite being somewhat disheartening, you possess the benefit of the guarantee on a new vehicle. Continue to return it until you are satisfied that the defect has been rectified. The most worst outcome is that Mercedes approves a new gearbox if the dealer is unable to rectify the issue. Maintain a log of the duration Mercedes retains the vehicle for repairs. -
Complete your homework using the scanner. I had the Foxwell 510 Elite, but I cannot recall if it included brake bleeding functionality. Your inquiry has prompted me to reflect on whether I still possess it, since I have an abundance of them. Rasa will arrive shortly; I believe he has the 510 or a similar model.

I believe they have made no adjustments whatsoever. They have only adjusted the steering to alter the statistics little. The front values were OK; however, the rear camber and toe are unbalanced and have not been corrected. Assess the ride height of both rear wheels to see whether your vehicle is drooping on one side.

In my opinion, the Hankook Ventus S1 Evo3 exemplify the optimal balance of price and quality. In terms of performance, it is comparable to Michelin and Pirelli.

superior engines, esteemed similarly to the M57

WD-40 is inappropriate. It will eliminate any existing grease and also rinse away rapidly. Therefore, the suggestion is to use a spray grease (I employed a Lithium grease).

Regrettably, some essential components are progressively no longer available from Mercedes Benz. I intended to provide the part numbers along with their possibilities for anyone who, like me, are enquiring about the optimal available choices. My vehicle is a 1976 240D. Keep in mind that if you have experienced a loss of fluid, it indicates the presence of a leak that will need repair. -

In order to resolve the issue of the lost key, it is necessary to contact BMW and have them delete the key from the car's system. Similarly, BMW will need to be contacted to add a new key to the system.

The automobile will continue to operate until it is manually turned off after being started with a key in the ignition. It should begin alerting you about the absence of the key, in my opinion.

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Greetings, everybody. I am contemplating purchasing used tires for my vehicle in order to save expenses, but, I have reservations about their safety and dependability. Has anybody in this group have firsthand experience with used tires? Are there any particular factors I should be cautious about while purchasing them? I have seen divergent viewpoints - some assert that they are an excellent means of economising, whilst others caution about possibly concealed impairments and reduced longevity. I would highly appreciate any guidance on trustworthy dealers or suggestions for doing thorough inspections of tires. I really forward receiving your insights and personal experiences.

Is the CX 90 Premium classified as a hybrid vehicle?
WiseSage replied to spiezen's topic in General Discussions
Many individuals are unaware of the significant distinctions shown by the CX-90. The powertrain incorporates a combustion engine fueled by petrol, although all variants are also equipped with an electric motor and battery. Regarding the basic 6 cylinder and Turbo S models, they both consist of an electric motor and a tiny battery known as a mild hybrid electric vehicle (MHEV). On the other hand, the plug-in hybrid variant is equipped with a 4 cylinder engine, a larger electric motor, and a bigger battery, referred to as a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). Indeed, all CX-90 models are equipped with hybrid technology. I don't get why there is an additional cost for owning a hybrid vehicle. It seems logical that the price should be lower instead. 😢 Premium, in this context, refers to a certain trim level of a vehicle and does not have any impact on the available powertrain options. -
Enjoyable journey!
