Greetings, After many months, I have finally taken the time to remove a malfunctioning one and will now proceed to install a pre-owned tailboard lift motor. Prior to desiring longevity, I must ensure that this particular item is well lubricated. Upon examining the photograph, it is evident that there is an unlubricated or inappropriately lubricated metal and plastic gear located at the top. The primary gear has window regulator style teeth and retains a little layer of grease from its original manufacturing in 2012. Beneath it is a little white gear coated with aged, yellowish oil residue. Which lubricant should I apply in certain areas to ensure the long-term functioning of the mechanism? Thank you for your attention.

Initiate operation after an extended period of inactivity.

I have reason to believe that this response has been created by an artificial intelligence system. Therefore, I would not place my trust or dependence on it... I believe you will be successful by just initiating it, however I recommend following these steps: 1. Refrain from altering the oil, as it will remain in satisfactory condition. 2. Apply a fine mist of oil into the cylinders. 3. Disconnect the injectors with caution and use the ignition to initiate a 5-second crank. Based on my own observation, it typically takes a brief duration of a few seconds for the oil to circulate throughout the engine while using the starter to initiate the engine's operation. If you fail to disconnect the injectors while cranking, they will release gasoline into the cylinders, resulting in the cleansing of the bores. Even if the fuel pump is removed, it is possible for them to inject some gasoline into the cylinders. -

Greetings, badgx. Thank you for the information. I will be apart from the automobile until the weekend, but, I have a few tasks to do and evaluate once I return to it. Do you believe that a 10.4V output is questionable, or might it just be the result of the usual pulse width modulation (PWM) reading? The diagnostic technician saw the presence of electricity throughout the scanning process using an OBD reader and concluded that my battery could be depleted, however this was not the case. I need a reliable source of grounding and then examine the power supply to the fuel pump. I suspect that the brown ground wire located above the EKP is the cause of the issue. Upon returning to the automobile, I will assess the input voltage of the EKP module.

A new fuel pump has been installed, however, it is still not functioning. The battery has been fully charged, but, only a voltage of 10.4 volts is being seen at the fuel pump feed. Examined the Tyco blue relay (with 4 spade connectors) located in the white fuse/relay box. When supplied with electricity, it produced an output voltage of 12.6 volts. Is the fuel pump supplied with fuel from the Fuel Control Unit? Are there no diagrams included in the Haynes manual? If anybody has any guidance or recommendations, it would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Disconnecting the temperature sensor will result in a lack of temperature information, hence the most prudent course of action is to keep the fan running continuously. If the fan is operational, then there is no problem present. I believe that the temperature transmitter is malfunctioning.

There will no longer be any MOT certificates.

It seems that you have the option to pay for them or just print them from the internet, which we all already use to check history. This brings us closer to the day when the usage of ring binders filled with documentation will become obsolete. The user's text is "[/QUOTE]". It is unfortunate that I am fond of my ring binders filled with historical content. 🙂 -

Regarding the process of re-lensing your R8 headlights

From where did you purchase the lenses? I would want to darken my headlights and, if possible, replace the lenses with new ones. Additionally, it would be necessary to purchase replacement lenses for the rear lights due to their tendency to break in the customary manner of Audi vehicles, amusingly enough. -

Connecting an iPhone to a 2005 Comand System

The first iPhone was introduced around two years after the production of your vehicle. In my 2006 C class, there is a UHI device connected to the 'hot shoe' located in the armrest. Despite having only Audio 20, my car is equipped for telephony and successfully connects with my iPhone 13. However, the whole user experience seems outdated and somewhat unpleasant. The keypad on the dashboard is non-functional, hence the only method to initiate a call is by scrolling on the dashboard. Furthermore, the audio output of the call is limited to a single speaker located in the passenger footwell. Personally, I am unperturbed by this since I get satisfaction from driving without engaging in conversation with others. If you need a fully functional phone, there are other alternatives available. In my view, purchasing a costly MB UHI (it should be noted that they may all seem similar but are really different) is not a wise choice. commandonline.co.uk, which is a sponsor on this platform, will provide you with guidance that aligns with your specific requirements. -
I have a strong preference for Honda vehicles, with the DC2R being my favourite car until it was stolen, and the NA1 NSX being my dream car. However, I assure you that the R8 is also an excellent choice, since I believe the first generation R8 is a worthy successor to the NSX in terms of its spiritual essence. The manual was of utmost significance to me in the automobile, although the stronic gearbox is also an exceptional feature. Ensure that you watch Ricky's comprehensive guidelines for buyers, and for detailed information on individual vehicles, you will have a higher probability of success by referring to the UK R8 Facebook groups.

The A0 service quotation is rather expensive.
Rojoires replied to Rojoires's topic in General Discussions
Thank you both. If it is necessary, please don't hesitate to pay it. I only wanted to confirm that it was within the expected range. I will also review the website. -
Good day, everyone. I had high expectations for my 63 and anticipated a costly service, with an approximate cost of £400. However, the price from Hughes of Beaconsfield is £870. The vehicle is three years old and has accumulated 27,500 kilometres, with a PP and dif. The reason for the expense is because the gearbox and differential oil need maintenance owing to the age of the automobile. Does this sound accurate or am I being manipulated? Thank you in advance.

VCDS use the actual OBD port. VCDS does provide OBD communication protocol capabilities. Unless the OBD function is expressly selected from the interface, most objects do not use the OBD protocol. The device communicates directly with the CanBus Gateway utilising precise Audi/VAG protocols. Many people mistakenly believe that VCDS is OBD due to their same physical port connection. VCDS utilises additional pins on the OBD port standard, which were originally designated as spare. An OBD (ELM327) scanner will only detect data that is required by OBD regulations or optionally provided by the manufacturer, often related to emissions and similar aspects. VCDS has advanced capabilities that allow you to do tasks, access data, and read fault codes that are beyond the capabilities of a standard OBD scanner. When acquiring a VCDS cable, it is advisable to only purchase from their authorised distributors. New ones discovered in other places are probably replicas. Used items may be authentic, however I have noticed that they may be pricier than new ones due to changes in the licencing model. The cables are licenced individually, with some newer ones requiring a licence per vehicle. The software is free, therefore a registered cable may be used on any device with VCDS software installed without requiring re-registration.
