  2. Hi, I've noticed Zolee Logistics getting mentioned more often recently. I think people get confused because of the company name, when you hear "Logistics" you automatically assume transport, freight, shipping containers and that sort of thing. Didn't occur to me they'd also be handling repossessed vehicle sales until I stumbled across one of their listings.
  3. Thanks everyone reading these replies has definitely helped calm my nerves a bit. What caught my attention was the payment arrangement, and I asked loads of questions because I was worried about transferring a large amount but they explained that payments go into a separate safeguarded company account rather than directly being released immediately which made me feel a bit more comfortable. They've told me delivery should be somewhere between seven and ten days, so fingers crossed. Cheers!
  4. i nearly bought a BMW 530e through Zolee Logistics back in spring and the only reason I backed out was because I couldn't get comfortable buying without seeing it first. To be fair nobody pressured me into anything, the bloke I spoke with actually encouraged me to take time and think about it. Didn't get any of the usual hard-sell nonsense you sometimes get from car sales places.
  5. That's a fair point @User4. When I spoke with them they explained that most of the stock comes from finance recoveries, banks and insolvency auctions. They're not buying from private sellers in the traditional sense. Some cars may have skipped servicing or cosmetic faults, but that is why I paid for a mechanical examination during the 14-day period
  6. not saying they're dodgy because I genuinely don't know but I always wonder how these cars end up being so much cheaper than dealer prices, aren't repossessed vehicles risky? You don't know how they've been treated.
  7. We've used Zolee Logistics through our business for years for shipping machinery between Northern Ireland and UK mainland and we didn't even realise they had a vehicle sales department until recently. From the logistics side of things they've always been reliable with good communication and fairly organised compared with some transport firms I've dealt with.
  8. I can understand the concern, I bought a Nissan X-Trail Tekna through Zolee Logistics earlier this year and I was sceptical at first because I'd never heard of transport companies selling vehicles. Everything turned out alright though, the transporter arrived about eight days after payment, driver phoned me twice with updates and the vehicle was exactly what I expected. Had it inspected locally and there weren't any surprises
  9. Hi everyone, Looking for a bit of reassurance if I'm honest. A few days ago I agreed to buy a 2020 Audi Q5 S Line through Zolee Logistics after seeing it advertised online. They explained that the vehicle had originally been repossessed by a lender after the previous owner fell behind on finance repayments and that it had been acquired through a UK banking auction. The price seemed noticeably lower than similar examples I've been seeing elsewhere, which naturally made me a bit cautious. I've already transferred the funds, but according to them the payment is being held in a segregated company account until I receive the vehicle and complete the inspection period. They've also told me I have 14 days to inspect the vehicle and request a refund if it isn't as described. To be honest, I've never purchased a vehicle remotely before, so I'm feeling slightly nervous now that the money has left my account. Has anyone here actually bought from Zolee Logistics? Any experiences, good or bad?

  13. In my opinion, the availability of parts is an issue that has been there for some time and is just becoming worse. I recently sold my 2009 CLK and the convertible top sensor was not available.
  14. Replacing the accumulators and servicing the ABC/SBC won't break the bank, but fixing an accumulator's diaphragm that splits and releases debris into the system will cost a pretty penny. Since there is no official MB WIS for changing the hydraulic fluid, the roof "service" essentially consists of cleaning and lubricating the seals, which can be accomplished by anyone with a little bit of internet research. The M113 engine is indeed "bullet proof." The one in my C55 is still running strong after 154+K miles of use.
  15. R230, I assume, is the generation in question. The Mercedes-Benz with its innovative but costly to repair and maintain ABC suspension, hydraulic roof, etc., is just as likely, if not more so, than the Porsche to rack up thousands of pounds in repairs and maintenance costs. Of course, you might not be experiencing any issues at all; after all, you could be relying solely on the stories you read about in online forums. Plus, the m113 engine is both innovative and somewhat resistant to damage.
  16. Would the operating costs be significantly different for a Mercedes SL500 or SL55 AMG? I'm considering making a purchase. I'm currently in the market for a second E46 M3 manual that hasn't been raced around Bradford, Birmingham, Bury, or Blackburn, and I'm willing to spend up to 20,000 GBP on it. I'm not afraid of the astronomical repair bills that come with my 2003 911, though. Any suggestions? certainly less agro as well. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. My sincere appreciation, everyone
  17. Thanks for getting back to me; I find that intriguing.
  18. Understood. 😀 My independent contractor can update the online service history because he is registered with JLR. Without specifically asking, I assume this is a prerequisite for warranty work.
  19. You can see an independent... under the JLR warranty!?
  20. I've used the LR Extended Warranty and MoT warranty for a couple repairs, and I'll keep buying them because they seem to cover everything, and my go-to independent LR garage has no problems working with them. After my Evoque is 10 years old (or 100,000 miles), I will only go to a third party provider because LR will no longer offer coverage.
  21. Greetings everyone, I have 44,000 miles on my 2021 Range Rover Evoque P300e and I would like some guidance on extended warranties. I called Land Rover Extended Warranty and was informed that a JLR multi-point examination would be necessary for the vehicle because it was not continually covered by a manufacturer-backed warranty when I purchased it. The next step is to determine if the vehicle is eligible for the Land Rover extended warranty. I would like to know, from the experience of other Evoque owners who have filed claims, which warranty companies are the best before I make a final decision. Is there anyone here who has had claims settled using: Extended Warranty for Land Rovers Simple Motor Membership in AA, RAC, and Warrantywise A different service provider In particular, I would like to know how the hybrid/P300e cars fared in terms of claims processing and ease of payment. Thank you ahead of time.
  22. Last week
  23. It begins shortly before the one-second mark of the video and sounds nearly like a belt slipping.
  24. Nothing but a loud "pop/click" could be audible when I played the audio back at maximum volume on my PC. Just wanted to clarify that I would love to hear the sound you describe. If it were knocking from low-grade petrol, I wouldn't hear it like you're describing it; it would be more regular and repetitive. Your description seems to indicate that the turbo charger might be ramping up at that time. Maybe the turbo's heat shield is flexing.
  25. Just before the pop manipulates my phone, a sound happens. From inside, with the windows down, I videotaped it. Even when travelling at high speeds on the highway, you can hear it through closed windows. It could be spark knock, according to someone on Reddit... Hopefully not, because I exclusively use premium fuel.
  26. I hear more of a "pop/click" than a metallic chirping sound, and while I find that intriguing, I have no clue what that means. How did you manage to get the audio recording given the circumstances in which the noise is said to occur? I thought you were leaning out the window of the car!
