jennycarlotta
I am seeking to substitute the battery in my 2012 Audi R8 V8. The battery was fully depleted when I attempted to go to the workplace this morning, so I concluded that it could be an opportune moment to finally replace it. I am astonished that the R8, which I drove during the whole Memorial Day weekend, is now fully inoperative. Attempted to do leaping and charging actions, but unfortunately, no success was achieved. The battery light and gearbox malfunction indicators are now illuminated. The R-Tronic system is very responsive. My previous PPI (Pre-Purchase Inspection) advised me to replace the battery since it failed the Midtronics Test over a year ago. Amusing. Do you have any suggestions for a suitable replacement battery?
ByteStorm
I recently replaced mine with this particular one, which was an ideal match. It is rather simple to do on your own with a few fundamental tools, resulting in a significant improvement in the car's cranking performance. It is important to mention After driving 100 metres, the suspension and DSC warning lights that appeared earlier turned off. These vehicles exhibit peculiar behaviour when they detect low or no battery voltage.

dave783
I just updated my battery after almost a decade of use. Although it was still functioning well, it seemed precarious to rely on it given its advanced age. After carefully considering the options of OEM and Antigravity (lithium), I ultimately chose to remain with OEM. The Antigravity battery incurred a much higher cost, mostly due to its ability to provide weight reduction. I concluded that it lacked sufficient significance to warrant my attention. Furthermore, it would need replacing my CTEK charger with one that is compatible with lithium batteries. Considering the impressive lifespan of the previous OEM battery and the uncertainty surrounding the performance of lithium batteries, I made the decision to remain loyal to the OEM option. I had Audi do the task - the whole front trunk has to be disassembled, so while it is possible to do it yourself, it involves more inconvenience than I want. In addition, several individuals have had problems with electronic devices after the replacement of their batteries, such as malfunctions in windows, radios, and other components. Consequently, I surmised that it would be more convenient to have the dealer do the battery replacement. However, the cost was not low. The labour alone amounted to more than $600, while the battery itself cost $300.
ChatMaven
I installed an Antigravity battery, which has been functioning well for a duration of two years. There are two notable advantages of the Antigravity battery: 1) The battery is 40+ pounds less than my H9 OEM battery. 2) It features a mechanism that automatically disengages before it entirely loses power, and enables you to use a key FOB to re-engage the battery, enabling you to start your vehicle and avoid being stranded. In my opinion, these features are valuable and worth the additional cost of a few hundred dollars.
jennycarlotta
Is there a particular brand that I should be searching for? Inclining towards Antigravity!

Geek2232
I also purchased mine via Michel. I chose a H6/60ah battery and I am quite satisfied with my decision. The jump start capability provides a reassuring guarantee of never having to be concerned about my battery's power again. Additionally, there is the added benefit of weight reduction. 40 pounds is a substantial weight, and its impact on your back becomes apparent as you feel the strain of hauling it out of the frunk. ChatMaven
Indeed, it required the combined effort of two individuals to extract the H9 due to its substantial weight. Additionally, I opted for the 30amp version to save money. It effectively accelerates my V8 engine.
keithmerc220
Lithium antigravity batteries do really possess a significantly extended lifetime compared to the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) batteries.
Chrishazle
I purchased an AGM H6 battery from Walmart for my 2014 Audi R8. Although the installation process was rather challenging, I managed to complete it without having to remove the wipers. Â
Geek2232
I increased the rating of my just based on the daily use. In addition, I own an enhanced audio system and often engage in activities such as listening to music or conducting tests in my garage with the ignition key on. Anticipate that the additional juice might be useful.
jennycarlotta
Update: After allowing the battery to charge on a Noco Genius 10 for about 6 hours, it reached a voltage of 12 Volts and the warning signs disappeared. However, the vehicle still failed to start. Is there any benefit to allowing it to remain undisturbed overnight for an additional 6-8 hours? The Noco device has the ability to immediately identify and stop overcharging, therefore minimising any more harm to the battery beyond what currently exists. Immediately upon disconnecting from the charger, the voltage plummets to 8 Volts and the engine fails to start. I made a last attempt to start the vehicle in order to take it to the repair tomorrow morning, but it is unlikely to be successful. Laughing out loud. It is quite probable that the service in question is related to mobile devices.
developer
Your battery is severely depleted. Require a replacement. Noco manufactures jump start packs. That should be sufficient to transport you to the mechanics and restore functionality for future use. Alternatively, if you possess rudimentary equipment and abilities, you may replace the battery on your own. There are instructional guides available on this platform.
