Regarding the process of re-lensing your R8 headlights

Recommended Posts

If you have headlights that are cracked or damaged, this is for you...The headlights of my automobile were severely damaged by the previous owner. According to everyone's opinion, I was advised to pay a minimum of 7-8k, even for second-hand items, due to cracks and damaged components.

I discovered this business. The website is called OnEighty.com. This individual expertly refurbished, darkened, and reassembled the item to seem brand new. They provide their services at a much lower cost, in case anybody need similar assistance.

I personally completed the task on my own for a total cost of £350.00. It is not too challenging for a proficient do-it-yourself enthusiast.

The photo below shows the previous lenses in their original position prior to the installation of the new ones.

From where did you purchase the lenses?
I would want to darken my headlights and, if possible, replace the lenses with new ones.
Additionally, it would be necessary to purchase replacement lenses for the rear lights due to their tendency to break in the customary manner of Audi vehicles, amusingly enough.

I purchased the lenses from a vendor on Ali-Express. These goods are not available for individual purchase as OEM products. Nevertheless, they are simply made of transparent polycarbonate material. I have never come across rear lenses that are sold individually. Generally, rear lights are more affordable than headlights, which is why most individuals choose to replace the whole set.
