Darrellll
Is there a method to repair or replace the bulb or led that serves as the display for the stock radio?
Rashman4u
Radio Shack has LEDs that you can solder on. I don't know the size or grade, and the stock radio has been replaced with one that has Bluetooth for a long time now. Though I liked the weather band. Chrishazle
I did like the weather group however. The weather band is the main reason I haven't switched mine out yet
clk320x4
Regarding the same subject. Has anybody ever tried to change the radio's LCD, or is it even possible to solder a new one in? My LCD has a visible through-line. I am aware that I can install a head from a different manufacturer, but I like the radio that came with the car. Darrellll
Yes, I like the weather band. Last night was really entertaining in these parts. I suppose I'll put the leds on the "list" for later. Another query is whether or not this ROVER LANDROVER 99-05 Auxiliary 3.5mm Car Adapter will work with the factory radio. It doesn't have a factory CD changer, and I'm not sure what the rear looks like. I'm not sure whether LR utilised a single head unit and simply added the CD changer. Rashman4u
Units without the changer were available. Most have premium setups. Before buying the aux adapter, check the unit's plug leads. I'm at work and don't have my bin'd unit, but it should be a Pioneer radio with a number.
Screwdriver_1
In point of fact, the United States only received one radio, model number AMR2772, for both the DI and the 1995 RRC. It was the most luxury product that Land Rover had to offer and was compatible with the CD changer.
Skd884
I can't remember if the pioneer head unit changed between 1993 and 1995, but I think the cd changer port went from round to square in 1995. I'm making a cool modification that doesn't involve hacking the stock head unit. You can handle your iPhone from the stock head unit by plugging in the dongle in place of the CD player and running an aux line from the trunk to the cubby. You can use the track forward and back buttons to skip sound songs and the prog button to turn on Siri. It also makes it possible to put a mic on the steering column. If I can get everything to work, I'll post a "how to."
Screwdriver_1
The end that went into the radio remained the same; however, since CD players changed between 1993/1994 and 1995 (and all DIs, for that matter), the plugs at the CD changer were different. The end that went into the radio remained the same. In addition, if it's any indication, the first radio that came with the '93/'94 RRC had a different part number, which was RTC7713.
