ML350_Colin
Hello, I am now facing an issue with the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) on my 2007 Sprinter 315 CDI vehicle. Despite my attempts, I have been unable to successfully clear the code, and it has persisted for a duration of one week. I have changed the mass airflow sensor (MAF) but the vehicle is still experiencing a restricted performance mode. Any assistance or guidance would be much appreciated. AMG33D
The evidence suggests that the issue in question may be attributed to the glow plugs and relay system in the year 1955.
ML350_Colin
Thank you for your response. The glow plug relay was disconnected and then tested, revealing a voltage reading of 12 volts at each terminal. The engine starts smoothly, with the glow plug indicator extinguishing after a brief duration, indicating their satisfactory functioning. AMG33D
The aforementioned error would not result in the activation of limp mode. This phenomenon has distinct characteristics that set it apart from other phenomena. Do you have access to a scanner?
ML350_Colin
Additionally, it is important to get the diagnostic trouble code P0101.

ML350_Colin
Thank you for your prompt response. I have replaced the mass air flow (MAF) sensor and subsequently operated the vehicle with the sensor uninstalled. However, the vehicle continues to operate in a restricted performance mode, with no activation of the turbochargers. Furthermore, an attempt was made to disconnect the other sensor on the air box, nevertheless the driving behavior remained same. I am now perplexed and contemplating the matter at hand. AMG33D
Is turbo activation achieved at first vehicle start-up or by cycling the car's power off and then on again?
ML350_Colin
Hello, I am unable to perceive any instances of turbo cutting. I am typically able to audibly detect them. On a horizontal plane, I am able to achieve a velocity of around 45 miles per hour during a duration of approximately one minute. However, when encountering an upward slope, my velocity decreases to 25 miles per hour, and the perceived power output diminishes to an estimated 10 horsepower. I express my gratitude for your assistance.
br1anuk
I have just created an account on this platform in order to inquire about the progress made in resolving a current problem that I am facing. During my return journey from a distance of 200 miles, when I was just 1 mile away from my destination, I experienced a decrease in speed, resulting in a loss of power and activation of the vehicle's limp mode. Upon arriving home, I proceeded to switch off my vehicle and restarted it, only to see a flashing EML light and a lack of power. The fault codes retrieved from my scanner were P0101 and P1955. I attempted the recommended solution of disconnecting the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor, but unfortunately, it did not provide any noticeable changes. I am unable to successfully remove the codes. Upon inspection, I discovered that the pip connecting the turbo to the air box was not securely fastened. It is plausible to assume that this loose connection was the root cause of the issue. Consequently, I have rectified the situation by tightening the pip to ensure a proper and secure fit. Upon first connecting my scanner upon arrival at my residence, I saw the error code "2623 charge air system offset drift at idle." However, this issue has not recurred. Additionally, the glow plug for cylinder 1 was also illuminated, but it has not reappeared since then. I also experience a more resonant auditory output, according to the description you provided, emanating from the vehicle's exhaust system. Have you reached a resolution or understanding of the matter? I like to avoid engaging in a trial-and-error approach by attempting several methods until the underlying cause is identified. Darrellll
Have you reached a definitive conclusion about this matter? The aforementioned problem remains unresolved despite the replacement of the intercooler pipe, which had incurred a split. I will be doing an experiment including the installation of a novel throttle body and subsequent relearning process on the following day.
