ByteStorm
Greetings to everyone I have recently acquired my first Mercedes-Benz, a 2016 C220d, and I am quite pleased with it! The former owner said that the wheels were a factory hue, but I am uncertain. I intend to get a touch-up pen. Is it a regular factory colour? Does anybody know the formal designation? ForumGuru
They may be Himalayas grey; however, I believed it was only available for the 18 5 twin-spoke alloys, although variations may exist across other markets.
TechWhiz
Have you performed a VIN decode on a website such as Last VIN? This may provide the original specifications of the wheels.

ByteStorm
Thank you for providing information; I will investigate the possibility of extracting it from the VIN. Thank you very much!
jimmy47785
I apologise for the low-resolution excerpt from the 2015 brochure, but it seems that your wheels were initially diamond-cut.
jimmy47785
In fact, they may have only been a silver paint or powder coating.
ByteStorm
I believe you may be correct; I suspect they are not the original hue. In some areas where chipping occurs, a raw metal finish is visible underneath; yet, a few minor chips reveal a glossier silver appearance. Regrettably, I am unable to locate any wheel colour references on the internet VIN decoder websites. I have requested a report detailing the car's original specifications from Mercedes, but I doubt they will provide it. Let us observe! Thank you for the information. DSM10000
Although I cannot assist directly with the colour of your wheels, I suggest searching online for a local automotive paint specialist who may be able to create a colour match to address or enhance the appearance of the blemishes without incurring the cost of refurbishment. It may or may not be successful, but I believe it is worth trying.

Howard_silver
You may have difficulty in obtaining the precise hue. I had a similar issue when purchasing my vehicle; attempts to match the colour were unsatisfactory, ultimately leading me to have them professionally done.
