clk320x4
The expense associated with credit hire vehicles provided by accident management firms is sometimes discussed here, although £50,000 for a three-month rental of a Tesla Model 3 stands out as one of the most outrageous overcharges I have seen to yet. Rashman4u
Regrettably, this verdict is inconsequential; the Credit Hire sector will disregard it, since it does not impact them financially, and operations will remain unchanged. Their assertion that it contributes "less than £5 to the cost of the average premium" is misleading; with 40 million vehicles on our roads, even accounting for multi-car policies, this equates to approximately £150 million annually. This represents a substantial sum extracted from the motoring public by the Accident Management and Credit Hire industry, seemingly without delivering any tangible value in return. guyskin
In 2014, while operating a Land Rover Discovery, I was given a BMW X3 for two and a half months, for which they requested £35,000. The vehicle was lawfully parked on a public thoroughfare when it was struck, and they attempted to collect expenses from me despite my lack of culpability, since I was consuming tea inside. The issue took many years to resolve, and the insurance company imposed several premiums on me as if I were at fault. The whole vehicle insurance system is legalised theft. Darrellll
A District Judge in County Court has little influence.
Rashman4u
Particularly considering that the Credit Hire firm was not a participant in the court action, no obligations could be placed upon them. 😄
AMG33D
It seems that even judges want their opportunity to appear in court.
