Smoke serves as a useful tool for targeted applications. In my case, I utilise smoke to test valve seats by introducing it through a spark plug hole with all four valves closed. Additionally, I employ the built-in compressor of the smoke machine to conduct pressure tests on components such as vacuum lines. This equipment has proven to be invaluable in diagnosing and addressing various faults. It is an essential tool for anyone working on automobiles. For instance, it enables me to test the exhau

The reason for the recurring issue is that when the switch is turned off, it resets the limp mode but still stores the error code. This occurs when the map sensor pressure does not match the required pressure known by the engine control unit (ECU), either being too high or too low. To address this, it is necessary to conduct a smoke test on all components, including the PCV valve pipe. If the PCV valve in the rocker cover is split, it can affect the boost. Another common problem is the diverter valve on the side of the turbo compressor. I do not recommend using BOV valves as their springs can weaken over time and most are of poor quality. It is better to use a standard diverter valve. Interestingly, using a BOV valve does not affect the power output of the engine with stock internals; it only adds another potential point of failure. Given that these engines operate at the limits of their capabilities, any factor that affects the air-fuel ratio (AFR) must function correctly.

BMW - Suspected Arson - Seeking Advice

When you mention BMW insurance, are you referring to the insurance provided by the garage or the insurance policy you have with BMW? -
My only recommendation, if you haven't already done so, is to do a search on comparison websites. That is the action I took, which resulted in my obtaining the rank of Admiral. I have a Ghost immobiliser installed on my vehicle, however I was unaware of it at the time of purchase. This extra security feature may be desired by some individuals, while others may not be concerned about it and may not provide a discount even if it is installed. Admiral, in particular, does not provide such discounts. Timing also seems to be a factor, with the optimal period being 28 days prior to the renewal date. With a sense of optimism (which is crucial when owning a JLR product), I anticipate that next year there will be a return to rationality and a decrease in the excessive excitement around RR vehicles. The CEO of JLR seems to be taking proactive measures, such as providing insurance top-ups on new vehicles and making a £1 million donation to the Police, in an effort to combat theft.

Using either a hair dryer or a heat gun will certainly be beneficial. I have used dental floss to access the area behind the badges, which has shown to be effective. However, an alternative method involves applying heat to the badges, manually peeling them off, and then removing the majority of the adhesive residue with your thumb. Next, use a tar remover to eliminate any residual adhesive. Simply apply a little polish and the task will be completed. It is important to note that, depending on the age and colour of the automobile, there is a possibility of still seeing an outline if the paint has faded to some extent.

Proposed innovations for the R8 GT Coupe's wheels?

Any vintage wheel is a reliable choice. I like a bronze 3-piece wheel with gold hardware for a dark grey automobile. -

One effective method for testing sensors is by taking corners, since this allows any unstable output to be easily identified. Determining a straight line might be more challenging.

Do ABS sensors provide the same results while taking a corner?

126 SEC - Inquiry about rust removal and repainting

By just perusing the advertisements for automobiles being sold, one may easily see a multitude of vehicles with panels that do not match. Among these, the light metallics exhibit the most pronounced inconsistencies, ranging from subtle variations in hue to wholly distinct colours. In my estimation, dark hues provide an equivalent level of difficulty, but our eyes are less sensitive to subtle fluctuations in dark colours compared to lighter ones. This is just speculative on my part. -
Problem with the fuel pump, namely not the pump itself or the relay.
badgx replied to Rojoires's topic in General Discussions
The gasoline pump is not equipped with a separate relay. Instead, it is regulated by the EKP module using a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) signal. The relays are mostly used for activating the DDE power supply. What is the voltage input to the EKP? -

Which vehicle model, age, and engine type? -
Great balance, dude! Great! I will inform my friend about Quicksilver for his next R8 project. The vehicle is now in the shop for the installation of new tyres from 4 Wheelonline and I am considering an exhaust modification next.

Intermittent indication of low coolant level
badgx replied to Screwdriver_1's topic in General Discussions
Although I often support individuals doing a thorough examination, I believe it will not be very beneficial in this case. The possible causes for the issue are either the detection of false negatives or the identification of a "implausible signal", both of which indicate a malfunctioning level sensor circuit. -
What is Stix? Are you referring to the car rental company Sixt? I recall perusing an interview with Formula 1 drivers from years ago, particularly around the period when Senna was prominent. The prevailing opinion among them was that after a race, their bodies had such a substantial amount of adrenaline that they refrained from operating vehicles on public roads for a minimum duration of 24 hours.

Device for measuring the concentration of oxygen
badgx replied to Paulinelinker's topic in General Discussions
If you possess even a moderate level of proficiency, you might consider purchasing a pre-owned icarsoft MB2 device to detect and identify error codes. Additionally, there are certain low-cost do-it-yourself tasks that may be performed, such as eliminating and thoroughly cleaning the aperture located underneath the back pressure sensor. This aperture has the potential to get obstructed with debris. Detach and cleanse the turbo actuator by spraying it, then apply a little amount of high temperature oil to the worm gear. Perform the "resistor fix" on the intake port motor by adding a 4.7k ohm resistor (Is the resistor priced at £1?) -

Indeed, they have little impact on the performance of the om642 engine. -

The information you are looking for may be located inside a discussion I participated in a few years ago. However, I recommend verifying the accuracy of the information specifically for your vehicle. -

Indeed, I believe so. However, in order to access it, you will need to elevate the vehicle and remove the underpanel.
