  1. I discovered that all four of the spark plug recesses were filled with old engine oil after yesterday's oil and filter change. Unexpectedly, the coil and plugs were functioning well (and continue to do so) and there was no engine misfire; I suppose it had to have been there for some time. Cleaned it all up & picking up a replacement cam cover gasket set today. I really hope the cover isn't cracked and that's the only thing it is. Are there any other common reasons for this problem?
  2. Thanks for making it available "over here"; I've sent this tutorial to several folks on the other side since, as far as I can tell, W203 (and similar) diesels have a thermostat problem; I had to replace mine in the first year after purchasing the vehicle. It was well worth the little investment because it not only got the engine up to temperature but also raised mpg from 40+ to 45+, making the heater operate.
  3. Weak 12V power source. Less time to charge due to chilly weather and shorter journeys. Probably the dealer will swap it out for you.
  4. Someone ought to know about this and have verified it!
  5. Does anyone know who has tested for diesel leak off? I was wondering if any of the repair shops had expertise in Mercedes diagnostics using Star or Xentry.
  6. I would prefer a 308GTB or GTS over the Testarossa, however I would not refuse it if offered as a gift.
  7. A black hood would have enhanced it for me; however, otherwise...oooof 🥰
  8. This is also somewhat palatable from the same source:
  9. What a magnificent hue.
  10. My app did not display my route statistics for 24 hours yesterday.
  11. Thank you for your response. I have a nearby dealership but was wanting to circumvent scheduling an appointment. I will search for specialists.
  12. Approximately two months ago, while driving home on an exceptionally hot day, the low tyre pressure warning light activated. I stopped to inspect the tires; there were no concerns. I restarted the vehicle, and the alert disappeared. Ten minutes later, the warning light illuminated once more, accompanied by many more warning indicators—ABS, tire inflation, power steering, etc.—yet there was no impact on the vehicle's handling. It has been somewhat sporadic since then; at times it activates, while at other times it does not. Occasionally, it is merely the single warning; at other times, there are many alerts. Presented the vehicle to a mechanic who connected it to diagnostic equipment and reported a warning for the tire pressure sensor (rear right) and a "power steering VSA system malfunction." He erased the codes, resulting in a temporary cessation, but the issue has since reoccurred. He also assessed the battery's condition and stated it was satisfactory. Has anyone else encountered a similar experience?
  13. A flush will substitute fluid for air. Eliminating the final reservoir of air can be somewhat challenging on certain cars. It is necessary to identify the system's highest point from where it can be bled and to confirm that it is indeed the highest point in the system. The final point may occasionally necessitate elevating the corner of the vehicle where the bleed point is situated. Uneven terrain can determine the success or failure of the undertaking.
  14. I recommend initiating a thread in the appropriate section, as few individuals are likely to check this area to greet others.
  15. I would advise caution; nevertheless, certain engines do not require extensive break-in periods, or at least not for prolonged durations. I cannot recall all the specifics, so please conduct some research on the topic.I understand that my engine (S55) requires the essential RIS, yet I have also heard that it is not imperative.
  16. Indeed, I have had a similar issue previously with the holding clip detaching, necessitating an expenditure of at least £40 for lens replacement. It is advisable to warm the lens with a hairdryer to facilitate the flexibility of the plastic; attempting removal at low temperatures is ill-advised.
  17. Consider whether, similar to my Sorento, it merely serves as a fuel usage indication.
  18. Uncertainty regarding INPA in relation to new generation vehicles may exist. I utilise the Autel Pro 2 Elite and must connect to the server to perform specific resets and updates. The increment wheel adaptation is available in its options, which I am aware of as I have previously executed it.
