In the year 2020, the BMW X5 has an unpleasant odour emanating from the air conditioning system during the first 10 seconds upon activation. Has anybody had the experience with that? The dealer is suggesting the replacement of the evaporator coil. I would value your collective perspectives. Is it advisable to replace the evaporator coil? We express our gratitude for your input.

I have been using the Arnott Gen 3 suspension system on my P38 vehicle for an extended period of time. Arnotts has consistently encountered challenges pertaining to quality control. It is important to securely save the receipt. I recall used a diminutive drill bit to traverse the eyelet apertures in order to achieve alignment of the retaining pins. Additionally, there is a tendency for leakage to occur in the vicinity of the upper clamp ring. According to Richard's perspective, it is not worthwhile to install Gen 3's unless one can fully use the additional 2 inches of elevation. In addition to the implementation of elongated shock absorbers, the incorporation of extended sensor arms at the rear is also required. There are several methods for achieving more lift. The most straightforward approach is the alteration of the spring seats on the axles via the use of welding techniques to affix new brackets. In the United Kingdom, this situation presents a complex set of challenges surrounding adjustments and testing, therefore rendering it unacceptable. In the United States, it seems that modifications are more socially accepted, making them a more cost-effective alternative. One might choose to continue using Dunlop tires and make adjustments to the EAS heights accordingly.

Manifold refinishing and repairs for the M156 engine

Excellent work, indeed. Just wondering how the paint is holding up. How did you color the walls? The throttle body plate on my Intake manifold was broken, and I just pulled it apart to clean and check it. I'm going to assume that you fixed this and follow your example. -
It may be used as a suitcase or a suitcase for Barbie and Ken's clothes. Because of the Healey on it, my brother bought it for me at a garage sale.

I ended up spending £540 at Brin Jones' Bristol Garage. Outstanding work overall; it holds up well after a year (as one would expect).

Hello! My 5 series's front bumper has been damaged and has to be repaired. I've never had any auto body work done before and was hoping to get some advice. The appearance of the bonnet is the most important thing to me. No mismatched colors or sun-fadeaway paint as someone at my office experienced after having her vehicle doors resprayed (wtf). A body shop in Bristol charged me £750, and they said it may cost up to £1500 to color match and integrate the wings. When I told the guy at the Hereford body shop that the estimate was inexpensive and asked whether the car would end up looking the same, save the scratches, he indicated it would. If it costs £1500, I'm willing to pay it. I haven't checked the price of a new authentic bonnet, but if it's above £1500 I may as well simply get a replacement. Do you believe that £400 is too low and will lead to subpar work? The Hereford repair business was reputable and well rated, whereas the Bristol repair shop said that £400 wouldn't even cover the cost of materials. Since then, I've had serious doubts about the honesty of the proposed £400 worth of work. Thanks a lot!

Hi all Mark 3 2021 Kuga metal. I got a hole in the nsr that can't be fixed. The plan was that instead of putting on one new tyre, I would put on another new one on the nsf and then switch the nsr wheel with the osf wheel. This way, the front of the car would have two new tyres. The tyre fitter said that it will cost more to have the Tpms programmed so that the sensors stay in the right place. Does this make sense?

I believe that starting in 2016, all VW kessy fobs should be replaced. It was well-known back then, and it remains so now. It wouldn't cost them much in the grand scheme of things compared to the respect they'd get from the owners, which would reverberate throughout the automobile sector, perhaps generating additional business.

Stopping both the motion and tilt detectors

If it's not too hot outside, the windows can be opened a little, and the owner is close by, what could possibly go wrong? -
thank you for your answer. Why are they said to be good on petrol when reading about them in the press and seeing ads for them would make you think they were? Since I'm being honest, it's not very good. I didn't buy it to save money, but I had hoped for something better. Does it make a difference that it's so cold?

I'm new here and I recently bought a 2004 X5. Having previously owned numerous BMs, I figured I'd give the X5 a go. Wow, this vehicle is incredible. It drives well and is constructed with the typical high quality. However, one thing: gas mileage! I did a lot of research before purchasing the 3.0d model since it was believed to be fuel-efficient (considering the size of the vehicle), so I filled it up when I got it. I've reset my journey and driven over 300 miles on a single tank of petrol. Around 15 mpg is the norm. I knew it would be cold in Perth, but I was hoping for something warmer. Is this typical for the 3.0d in really cold weather? The Webasto heater seems to be in excellent condition, and the vehicle has a meticulous service record. Any help or information is much appreciated.

How can I get the best automobile video possible?

If it helps, I'm looking at this right now. http://www2.oregonscientific.com/shop....pid=560 The only issue I (think) can identify is the lack of an audio input for an external microphone; if you mount one to your rollbar, all you'll hear is wind noise. You're welcome to use my manfrotto superclamp arm, hi8 camera, and external mic for the sprints I'm competing in, however there are certain "features" you'll need to be aware of before you go out onto the track. -
I agree with everything said above. This is not a well-made film. While you're at it, check the opposite side. Because of the pressures encountered at that location, the two bolt fitting is critical. My brackets on both sides are welded. When reaming to restructure the holes, new bolts and bushes are required.

Help! My BMW 120D M47 turbo isn't working.

How are you? On my N47, I did pretty much the same thing as you, except I changed the vac hoses and got rid of the swirl flaps. I ended up with the same problem as you, even though the car ran fine before. It turned out to be the map sensor, if that's the one at the back of the outlet. Maybe they don't like to be cleaned. -
Enviosec Group how reliable is this company?
CheresX replied to Matt865's topic in General Discussions
Two months ago, I made a buy through them, and the transaction went down without a hitch, money was processed without a problem, and the car was delivered on time. I had no idea they existed until a coworker of mine told me about them, but I'm pleased to learn that they do. So from personal experience, I completely recommend them. I didn't have to wait 10 days to decide whether or not to keep the car.. Instead, I told the company that I wanted to keep it after just 2 days. -
What are diagnostic scans, and why do I need one?

I was wondering whether anybody has used the BMW Software INPA. I just installed it, and it appears to function OK; I can see the error codes and so on. However, it also came with other unnecessary software, such as NCS Expert. Please direct me to a lesson, guide, or user manual that explains how to use all of this equipment. Am I just chasing my tail here, or might I truly utilise them to pinpoint the faulty component? I appreciate it in advance. -
So I purchased it from Amazon XTRONS 10.25-inch Car Stereo Android 11 Octa Core Touch GPS Navigator iDrive System With Integrated 4G LTE BMW 5 Series F10/F11 CIC DSP CarAutoPlay Android Auto Support DAB+ OBD2 DVR TPMS Camera https://amzn.eu/d/415i28L Now I'm pondering if the processor is fast enough or if I should rescind the order and go with this one.

Should I simply utilise an app on my iPhone or should I consider purchasing the DAB option instead?

The question remains, should I use this new Android display or my existing display? Will I also retain the steering wheel controls?
