  1. Enjoy your two brand-new, high-quality automobiles without worrying too much about those seemingly little issues.
  2. The replacement rod, if memory serves, required a complete turn of the rod end screw. There was a lot of wiggle room on the other side, but both rods need to be adjusted or the wheel would be off center. For the time being, I think I'll simply monitor the tread wear and leave things how they are. Handling, cornering, and grip are all top-notch.
  3. There don't seem to be any variants; both rack manufacturers use the identical tie rod and track rod. Is it possible that a rod from a different model was inadvertently installed? How difficult is the transition once you get there?
  4. I've never had that happen, however I have received emails promising to double-check my purchase, which I've either disregarded or instructed them to fulfill as is. Or, if they continue to complain, I just threaten to cancel the whole purchase. A UK provider would have been preferable, but places like Eurocarparts and GSF don't have as many options, and many parts aren't 'on the shelf,' so they're both slower and more expensive than Autodoc.
  5. From my experience, Autodoc does not promote any one brand. They carry all the brands you've mentioned and more; I've used the ones you've mentioned above on many cars over the course of 15 years. include Ridex, Febi-Bilstein, TRW, and others It doesn't take a genius to realize you shouldn't go with an unknown brand. Unchecking "safe order" may help facilitate a return, but it is not necessary. My 116i's O2 sensor and oil filter were broken in transit, and I learned this the hard way. I was prepared for a no-questions-asked refund, but when they asked for photographs of the components, I had to let them know how I felt about their "safe buy."
  6. Get the best deals on auto parts by entering your registration number at buycarparts.co.uk. I've been working with Autodoc, a reputable German firm, for quite some time. With a large selection of vendors, and free delivery on purchases above £150, the only downside is the shipment time.
  7. An invaluable resource is the Lucas 400e Master Parts Catalog. The years 1959 and 1960 AH 3000 are covered. Tybalt says the Lucas Service Catalog 220/2 is the correct one, so I'm guessing that's what we'll need. Is this document being scanned?
  8. If you are unable to upload it, could you kindly email it to me? [email protected] much obliged
  9. I get that, and I promise to look for one. Have you ever considered using a catalog scanner?
  10. I appreciate you sharing this data with me.
  11. This is exactly what I need. I am the proud owner of HBJ8L25.321, the seventh MK III produced that November of 1963. Since BMC destocked without a clear date for the model change, I require both catalogs, the earlier one and the latter one. It may seem insane, but I have to go through this every time I get auto components since my vehicle is quite original. If you happen to come across any of your catalogues, I would very much appreciate it. kind regards
  12. Howdy, Men! I need to find a Lucas parts list. I was wondering if anybody has a copy that they could share. If an electronic version is not offered, a paper copy would also be of interest to me. All my best
  13. These have reliable performance in the rain. When they wear out, I plan to replace them on my E53.
  14. I was dismayed that they wore out so fast since they were excellent and we had them on all of our vehicles, including my wife's prior Q7. There's really nothing I can do.
  15. After just 8 months and 4,000 miles, I had to change the tires on my wife's XC90. I feel confident saying that Rainsport 5 tyres are not a good choice for an SUV.
  16. The signage are an unnecessary extravagance in my opinion. Is there anybody who can change my mind?
  17. You may get rid of the belt by spraying it with wd40.
  18. Thanks! I tracked down a man from TM Motors who fixed the issue in 30 minutes.I spent £660 at Mercedes Slough last week and got nothing in return; they need two weeks to investigate how to install my water pump, my engine fan is spinning wildly, and they want another £500 to set up my command system. Benz drivers at Slough and Heathrow should be avoided; they're worthless.
  19. Is there anybody who knows how to fix the ntg 5.5 firmware? Every time I take my vehicle in for service, the dealership wrecks it.I refuse to even consider it... Heathrow... Slow.... awful service....
  20. Hello there, I've had two different C207s and have been incredibly happy with both of them. A buddy of mine who has a pretty fantastic connection with his local dealer was thinking about switching from BMW, but ultimately decided against it. I cautioned him to hold his position, and he complied. According to the users of this community, the Mercedes dealership that I use has been fantastic, but it's unfortunate that other shops have not been up to the same standard.
  21. Howdy All, I am grateful that you have allowed me to come in. This is my first time using this website, and I must say that I am finding it a little bit challenging to navigate. I have attempted to post about an issue that I am having with my vehicle. I'm looking forward to hearing some responses. Wonderful to be amongst such a community of other MB fans.
  22. I know I'm wrong, but they didn't do anything when I got a new tyre.
  23. Because the pressure is shown 'live,' there is no need for a reset device.
