  1. On the lower part of the rear bumper, namely where the black section is located. There are many spots available, about 15 to 20. I first believed that it was only an aperture for a sensor, but it turns out that there is a little piece of trim that fits into that space. a chromium-plated component. I am seeking either someone who has a product they are willing to sell to me, or a recommendation for a reputable seller of used items.
  2. Hello everyone I have had my automobile for about one week and I am really enjoying it. One detail that escaped my attention was the absence of a trim piece on the lower part of the rear bumper. Could someone assist me in obtaining a component number, preferably at a reasonable cost, or guide me to a reliable source for purchasing a used one? Hopefully, someone in this group has one.
  3. Even high-quality snap-on scanners might provide inaccurate information. You must use a BMW diagnostic kit to scan it.
  4. I completely agree. You are not relying on gasoline and there is no automatic power shutdown. In the moment of urgency after the first fear and a state of confusion about what to do, you must consider the most effective way to reach the intake. If you happen to have a sufficiently big piece of cloth to totally obstruct it, the shutdown process should begin. However, it is likely that by the time you reach this stage, the situation will have already escalated beyond control. With a manual gearbox, it is possible to stall the engine as soon as the situation becomes uncontrollable, so preventing damage to the engine. I have successfully changed a turbocharger on a second-generation Octavia that operates on oil, resulting in oil leakage throughout the engine. Fortunately, the driver shown prudence by stalling the vehicle via vigorous clutch manipulation.
  5. If the turbo malfunctions and causes the engine oil to replace the fuel, the smoke will become dense like fog. This occurs due to a failure in the turbo seal, which allows the engine oil to be drawn up through the intercooler. To confirm this issue, you can disconnect the lower pipe of the intercooler and observe any substance that comes out. The intercooler pipe will already have some oil residue due to the engine breather, but if a significant amount of oil pours out, it indicates a problem wi If the battery drop has been prolonged, the difficulty in starting the engine might be due to a partial seizure. Do not attempt to operate it until it has been inspected.
  6. Thank to everybody. It is peculiar that it was only available for the estate. Does the same apply to the C63? I was certain that I had been exposed to those with privacy glass before, but maybe I am mistaken. As I will be entrusting my vehicle to MB for repair in the near future, I will inquire about it in the event that I overlook any details.
  7. Thank you for your prompt reply. I am not concerned about the cost, within reasonable limits, but my primary issue is the availability of this glass. After doing a search on eBay, I have observed the availability of factory tinted glass for the coupe, while encountering few options for the saloon. Upon reflection, was privacy glass available as a choice for the W204? I am uncertain whether I have ever seen one with it, particularly one that is not C63.
  8. Greetings. Apologies if this is the incorrect forum, but I couldn't find any more appropriate one. Is it feasible to install factory tinted or privacy glass to our vehicles, namely the W204 model in my case? Aftermarket tint film has been applied to many vehicles, including my present vehicle, and I consistently see it as unattractive due to the resulting gap at the periphery of the "dot matrix" on the rear quarters and rear window. While I am aware that some aftermarket tints may be superior to others, I have yet to see any that can effectively circumvent the dot matrix problem. The sole viable option I can conceive is to attempt to retrofit factory tinted or privacy glass (the glass that would have been included on the vehicle if privacy glass had been included as a factory option). However, I am uncertain whether anyone would be willing to undertake this task (whether it be the main dealer or another party) and whether it would still be feasible to obtain such glass for a W204. Are there any opinions or perspectives on this matter? Thank you.
  9. Please disregard my vote since I have not personally driven the Yaris Cross. This website might perhaps assist in making the choice... Please refer to the following article for car leasing news: "Toyota CHR vs. Yaris Cross"
  10. Regrettably, no. However, I comprehend that the CHR was terminated concurrently with the introduction of the Yaris Cross, suggesting that the Yaris Cross may be a rebranded version of the CHR. Similar to how the Auris evolved into the Corolla.
  11. I operated a chr as a courtesy vehicle, and the driving experience was pleasant and the storage capacity was amazing. It seamlessly incorporated with my wifi Carplay Dongle.
  12. There is no justification for replacing Nylocs since they are specifically engineered to be reusable without compromising their functionality or safety. Contrary to crush nuts (such as some hub nuts) and stretch bolts, which are often intended for single use. According to Carroll Smith, author of "Carroll Smith's Nuts, Bolts, Fasteners, and Plumbing Handbook," the nylon insert is not harmed during installation, allowing it to be reused several times.
  13. For a little over 2 years, I have had a 2013 X6M and only utilised CASTROL EDGE FST 5W-30 5L TITANIUM FST without encountering any issues. I am seeking ideas for plugs as well. I have also heard that the plugs installed during a service may not be of high quality. I would like to mention that I use this website whenever I want assistance in locating accurate component numbers. It proves to be really beneficial in this regard. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sele...&prod=20130200 High Power Spark Plug, Model 03 The BOSCH ZMR5TPP33 8 12120037581 is priced at $22.06. That is the item that is installed at the manufacture, according to reports. Hopefully, this will be beneficial.
  14. My 2006 C class comes with a dipstick tube but no dipstick from the factory. Someone here will inform you shortly whether your vehicle has the service menu option.
  15. Increasing oil level may indicate unburnt gasoline passing via worn piston rings or fuel injector issues. What is the age of this automobile and does it come equipped with an electronic oil level sensor? The level may be verified under the service option on the dashboard, depending on the model.
  16. Which kind of engine: diesel or petrol? Does the oil have a scent of fuel or diesel?
  17. Thank you for your responses. I attempted the tip to turn left and turn right, but it was unsuccessful. Therefore, I will have to borrow my neighbor's Carly. Where is the diagnostic plug located on my CLC200k? I anticipated it to be located under the steering wheel, but it does not seem to be there in that location. I would appreciate your assistance.
  18. Due to a slower-than-anticipated recovery following my ankle procedure, the automobile remained untouched for five weeks before I was able to access it and start it. It is currently retaining control.
  19. After fully discharging and recharging the battery, I am now receiving an SRS error warning. How can I clear this issue? Can I purchase a diagnostic/reset tool to clear it myself, or should I see my local independent mechanic to address it? I am reluctant to drive the automobile if the airbag is malfunctioning.
  20. If uncertain? Empower it with influence! 🔨
  21. The vehicle has average mileage and if properly repaired, there is little danger. There is still a lot of mileage remaining in the car. I have purchased 4-year-old cars with roughly 144,000 miles, driven them to over 200,000 miles, and sold them without any serious issues.
