  1. Found out it's a TS-73 and it's in great working condition. GM and Toyota made the sensor.
  2. The coolant temp sensor is a standard part, and you can get a Toyota-specific replacement from places like Auto Zone. I believe it is a TS-73, but I will verify it on Tuesday when I get home. Below the other sensor that also faces the passenger side may be found on the thermostat housing. The visibility is poor.
  3. If I may ask something completely off topic? Can you tell me whether the 116i has an option for longer or shorter track rods? I looked it up on realoem, and it's not really obvious to me. When I acquired the vehicle in April, the vendor had already switched one of them out without checking the tracking, which is why I'm asking. There was inside shoulder wear (too much toe out) and the vehicle meandered significantly on uneven ground, so this was a mile out. I rebalanced the rods and now the tires are wearing evenly, but I'm sure I still see some toe out in the wheels, even though the new rod can't be tightened much more. Since my brand-new tires have worn evenly after 2,000 miles, I haven't had the tracking examined by an expert.
  4. Many times after placing an order and making the necessary payments, I have received an email from the company's technical department stating that the product I bought is not acceptable and that ridex is a better alternative. It's simply a trial run; I'm certain that the component I got will work since the OEM comparable part number is included in the product page.
  5. Use only reputable brands such as Meyle, Lemforder, etc.; lesser alternatives won't hold up. AUTODOC promotes their own ridex and other less expensive brands. They are just as bad as ECP's tattier starline and should be avoided.
  6. My F11 now has meyle HD ones, which are of respectable quality and have served me well. I forget the exact cost, but it was a lot less than the BMW versions.
  7. The holes are the incorrect size for a valve collet, but the center one does seem a little like a turbo bearing outer race (holes to allow oil in).
  8. You've done an excellent job with your passion of detailing. It's strange, but when I had my first couple of automobiles, I remember thinking about nothing except how much money I could save so that I could upgrade the sound or get new wheels. Then I got married and purchased a home, so now you can't afford to help me out. When I realized I could spend considerably less money on nice materials and take my time making my pride and joy look its best, my interest in detailing rose. A satisfying pastime.
  9. What is it, exactly? Definitely not a Corvette.
  10. I need to vent but don't know to whom. Instead of her 1962 Austin Healey 3000, Barbie now drives a 1957 Corvette in the new movie. Who else is as shocked as I am? How can we best pursue justice?
  11. Could this be the norm to prevent getting your car keys locked inside?
  12. It's weird, but it seems like most C63 owners are sick of the inherent fragility of the factory wheels, and they often desire something better. By the way, hello and welcome, and best of luck with your wheel search.👍
  13. Had my dash cam hardwired by a local independent mechanic, and when they installed it, I received a collision alert. I called them, and they told me that apparently collision alerts go off all the time, and that they had a Mercedes-Benz in the shop being serviced, as well as an AMG GTR, and that when they started the AMG GTR, it set off alarms and collision alerts in all of the other cars.
  14. To continue, this seems like a project that should be pursued! A few years ago, I went to Hong Kong for a total of three weeks and, at the time, I was exhausted from living in such a crowded city as London; yet, to my surprise, I ended up adoring my time there. It has to be one of my top five choices.
  15. Oh, the automobile is real enough, but the marketer on Facebook does not have legal title to it. However, the way in which the advertisement is worded is not likely to lead anybody astray.
  16. The hue of the road markers on the built-in sat nav varies on the route you choose. For instance, what are the other colours for besides "blue" and "green"? Shortest person is brown? It's been so long since I last used it that I've forgotten how. Not able to take it. There are too many horror stories of surprise tours gone awry, and although I like Apple Maps and its real-time traffic reports, I have to say, "one man's meat...."
  17. I went ahead and completed it, and it really isn't that difficult. To begin, pull up the plastic covers on both handles with a little screwdriver so that you may remove them. If what I'm trying to say makes any sense, the section of the handle that breaks off is the one that is practically horizontal when the tailboard is open. After removing those four bolts, the plastic bottom piece may be removed. You are going to need to disconnect the light and switch connections. Unplugging the switch would be the first thing I'd do since I once hit it by mistake, which led to a whole lot of chaos. After the lower piece of plastic has been removed, the carpet portion is only secured in place by a few clips; to remove it, you must pull it downwards. The strip of plastic that covers the area where the rear wiper gubbins are located also serves as part of the same piece as the plastic piece that is located on the other side of the carpet section. The final remaining piece of plastic located adjacent to the glass comes up next. There is a certain sequence of events that you are required to go through. To begin, push inwards towards the middle of the window, which is located at the base of the vertical part. I was required to give it a thump or two. Start at the very end, just near to where the gas strut attaches to the back of the tailboard. There is one push clip located there at the bottom, as well as one located higher down closer to where it curves around to the top of the glass. After you have completed the previous step on the other side, you will see that the remaining clips are located at the top of the window. You are able to draw them towards you. It is essential that you reassemble this component in the exact same sequence as before, else you risk damaging the clips. When you take it off, you'll be able to see clearly. On mine, I discovered that the final plastic piece, which is in the form of a U and shook when moved, so I appliese.I discovered that the final plastic piece that is in the form of a U was a little loose on mine, and it rattled, so I put some thin cushioning tape (really number plate tape) where the clips slide in to take up whatever slack there may have been. It is not difficult to accomplish; however, before attempting to remove the clips at the top of the window, you must ensure that the sides of the last piece of plastic have been uncoiled first. And keep an eye on the switch for the trunk; I accidentally opened it twice. I hope that was helpful.
  18. The tailgate's light grey trim on the driver's side is another likely rattling cause. (Refer to picture below) There is some slack on this side. Is there a way to get rid of it though? I take suppose it simply keeps trucking along with some kind of retail sprockets?
  19. Motorsport Events hosts a number of enjoyable airfield days. Day trips to Llandow, Pembrey, and Mallory are also available. Andy
  20. My previous bushes were worn and squishy, so I replaced them with RallyDesign polybushes, and the result was much firmer rear suspension. My previous bushes were worn and squishy, so I replaced them with RallyDesign polybushes, and the result was much firmer rear suspension.
  21. Goodyear Asymetric 6 is my preferred option. I have used Rainsport 5 on a BMW 1 series and was not particularly impressed. They are effective at evacuating stagnant water, but their actual traction is unremarkable, and their flexible sidewalls make their handling a bit uncertain. Falkens are acceptable if you wish to purchase a comparable-priced alternative to Uniroyals.
  22. The bumper has a width of 4 feet and 5 inches and a depth of 3 inches, making it rather thin. It also has a few rusty places. They demand £540 inclusive of vat for the two overriders, which is a sum that seems to be pretty steep. Despite the fact that it is the very first quotation I have ever had, I shall examine it further.
  23. I just received a quotation from Niphos in Crewe for a job that would take six weeks and cost £350 for a whopping £50 per overrider.
  24. Many thanks to Code I can confirm that customers have positive things to say about that business; I will write them an email. In addition to this, they were somewhat pricey. When I had anything done the previous time, it was two bumpers and overriders, as well as four hubcaps and two headlights. I don't have much of an idea about it. £135 for the whole bunch!!! Long long ago !!
