Keyboards and my 1988 Ford Cortina MK5 Ghia are present.

1988? That is an exceedingly late registration if the figure is accurate, considering the Sierra supplanted it in 1983! Even a prior registration in 1985 would categorise it as a late B/Early C registration, by which point the Sierra had already been in existence for three years! - Yesterday

Identifying the oil vapours leading to the accumulation beneath the rocker cover is an excellent initial step. Have you attempted to thoroughly clean the area to identify the precise location where the new oil starts to leak? Identifying the origin could assist an individual in determining the reason for you.

Greetings, My offspring is coming to visit. He operates a 2019 Countryman. He observed oil fumes emanating from the engine compartment in recent months. We inspected the engine compartment and I detached the cowling, observing oil accumulation in the channels directly beneath the rocker cover on the front (radiator) side of the engine. The oil loss is minimal. Do you have any hypotheses regarding the likely origin? I am aware that these engines contain numerous plastic components that may be susceptible to malfunction.

Apologies for the oversight.

Indeed, consistently at intervals. Even when Mi-Drive is deactivated, the electric motor replenishes the 48-volt battery, in addition to regenerative braking. I am of the opinion that the 48-volt battery is replenished during coasting without fuel and, naturally, while braking. I seldom examine that power flow diagram. It is somewhat of a ploy.
-
OP, are you indicating that there are no flow arrows to or from the mild hybrid battery in relation to the engine or drive wheels on the Energy Monitor display? At any moment.
-
You might be conflating the turbo boost with the Mi-Drive 48-volt battery enhancement. There exist two markedly dissimilar techniques to enhance engine horsepower. The turbo operates independently while the Mi-Drive is engaged by the operator. It is imperative that you consult the vehicle's manual.

Silly inquiry, but how does one engage M mode?
-
That is not the operational mechanism of my 2026 MHEV.
-
I am not required to set it to M mode. It appears to activate automatically when I increase speed.
-
It is possible that the 48-volt battery has ceased to function. Neither a depleted battery nor a malfunctioning cell should occur. Do you consistently operate it in M mode?

I possess the Turbo S Premium Plus, and the M-Hybrid boost fails to activate during acceleration. I have observed that the engine exhibits a delay and lacks the vigour it once possessed. I contacted the dealership and was informed that they are currently 3-4 business days behind in their service department, necessitating that I drop off my vehicle due to the excessive number of components requiring diagnosis within a single day.
