clk320x4
I just had my 2021 GLE 350d serviced at Mercedes West London two weeks ago, during which they identified three distinct leaks on the health report video: two oil leaks and one that seemed to be a fuel/water leak, which the Mercedes technicians were unaware of at the time. The vehicle's warranty expired on January 8th of this year. I have repeatedly informed the dealer during prior warranty visits about the engine's excessive oil consumption, around 1 litre per 1500-2000 miles, among other difficulties. I was informed that these new 3-liter diesel engines had significant airflow, which is typical. Currently, there are leaks in the forefront and at a location farther back. Everything is concealed under the blankets; nothing is visible on the ground. The vehicle is aesthetically pleasing and enjoyable to operate. I am dissatisfied with several issues to date (all addressed under warranty), including a new headlight due to condensation, a rear light cluster due to indicator malfunction, two rear door control units due to windows intermittently dropping by approximately one inch (one side remains problematic), and now there is condensation on the other headlight. Additionally, there is a clunking noise from beneath when navigating our notorious potholes. What is Mercedes now manufacturing, and with what resources and personnel? Do you have any insights concerning these leaks, preferably not costly? Ha!
ForumGuru
Oil leaks often originate from a leaky cam cover gasket, based on my prior experiences. However, an inquiry would certainly be prudent.

Paulinelinker
Indeed, only the highest quality is acceptable these days. 🤣
clk320x4
Astounding! Unimpressed. A mechanic acquaintance said recently, "You should have heeded my advice and purchased a Lexus."
clk320x4
After careful consideration, I have chosen to replace the GLE with the new Lexus 450h+ plug-in hybrid vehicle. While the Mercedes' design, looks, and spaciousness are commendable, the occasional concerns over quality and dependability provide an inconvenience and cost I did not anticipate in a 2-3 year old vehicle. Disgrace. I briefly considered the new GLE hybrid but quickly disregarded it for the aforementioned reasons. Wishing you enjoyable travels! Paulinelinker
Excellent enhancement; it will surpass most German brands, of that I am certain. 👍
AMG33D
It is hoped that a satisfactory used automobile warranty accompanies the purchase.
