Geek2232
Greetings, everyone. I am not enthusiastic about this engine. The functionality remains active even after the keys are removed. Does anybody know whether there is a method of averting it? Today, I was at the tip and inadvertently neglected to deactivate the motor using the designated button. I became aware of its continued operation only upon seeing the illumination of the lights. The model of the car is a 2019 520i. Thank you. IrvesBMW
Did you neglect to deactivate the engine by pushing the button? Within the idrive system, there is a specific menu option available that allows you to activate the feature of automatically shutting off the engine when the door is opened. Perhaps using this menu item would be beneficial for your situation. Since I have a keyless system, I am unfamiliar with the purpose of deleting the key. Geek2232
Hello... yep... just that! 😀 ... I had been using our previous vehicle during the whole week with a conventional key, thus I completely forgot about this one 😀 ...I understand...excellent...that sounds ideal...thank you very much 👍
Geek2232
Unfortunately, the item had already been checked. I decided to uncheck it and then check it again, hoping that this action would resolve the issue.
Geek2232
It seems that the feature may not be compatible with my situation, since I consistently keep the start-stop function off. Alternatively, it is possible that the option just pertains to the electrical components. 🤔
IrvesBMW
It may be necessary to click the button to deactivate the engine, after which the electronics will shut down when the door is opened, depending on the idrive configuration. Since I own a 530e, the engine remains inactive while the vehicle is not in motion.
ByteStorm
Technology may be remarkable at times, amusingly enough. When things go awry, we are in a difficult situation. I believe it is still necessary for you to touch the stop/start button.
