DSM10000
Apologies if this is not the appropriate forum, but my friend's 2010 E350(?) convertible is unable to retract its roof. The device is completely non-functional, with no audible or tactile response. Is it possible that the issue is as simple as a blown fuse? Which location should I inspect to verify and identify the specific fuse?
jimmy47785
You may find the information either in the owners handbook or on the fuse box.
ML350_Colin
It is important to note that the E-class convertible, known as the Mercedes designation A207, was actually built on the C-class platform, rather than the real E-class W212.
Chrishazle
Attempt to unlock using the key fob as a component of the comprehensive unlocking system. This might determine if the roof switch on the automobile is defective. Purchase a pre-owned icarsoft MB2 for the price of £100.

Chrishazle
It is worth noting that there is a very skilled Mercedes-Benz expert named Steve at Avantgarde Mercedes, located in Clevedon near Bristol.
DSM10000
We will keep him in consideration. We are in close proximity to Griffiths Mercedes in Bristol, so we plan to take the vehicle there next week. We will await the outcome. Thank you once again for your kind gesture. I appreciate it much. 👍🏻
bvlenci
Remember to consider Ben at Parkway Mercedes, a no-frills independent Mercedes-Benz dealership located in Fishponds. Please note that Parkway is not in close proximity to Fishponds. Ben will provide an explanation if you get the opportunity to meet him. Matt865
If the roof mechanism on my friend's CLK cabriolet is comparable to the one on my R129 SL, then there is likely a relay located close to the pump in the trunk, which is known to be a common cause of issues. Following that, you may examine microswitches (with available diagnostic methods), which may get filthy from lack of usage if the roof has not been used for an extended period of time. Occasionally, if the issue is just a result of the roof not being used for a while, manually unclipping and moving it back and forth will resolve the problem. However, it is necessary to have the emergency release tool and follow the instructions in the owner's handbook to manually raise and lower the roof.
