WordSmith
Hello everyone, I have just put the PTG supercharger on my C63 together with the Fi Interchiller. As a result, I have achieved a significant increase of over 250WHP (wheel horsepower) on 95RON gasoline with the assistance of an octane booster. What is the maximum power that the factory P31 motor and gearbox can handle? I am currently using the factory pulley, but I have the option to switch to a smaller pulley, which would result in a significant increase of 30-40 wheel horsepower. Is it advisable for me to proceed with this action? Is it guaranteed to be secure? I want to achieve a quarter-mile time of less than 10 seconds with my automobile. The automobile was tested on the same dynamometer and fueled with the same gasoline. The vehicle's excessive movement on the dyno prevented them from reaching the rev limitation. If they had managed to reach 7k RPM, the car would have produced 680WHP. The chiller is essential for SC automobiles since it effectively maintains low temperatures and reduces the need for further ice top-ups. since the AC condenser receives more airflow, the water temperatures decrease, resulting in colder conditions. Paqngo
At this level, the durability of the clutch discs in the gearbox will be significantly reduced. While they may not slide right away, they will eventually deteriorate.
developer
The gearbox failure is not caused by the horsepower, but rather by the torque. All gearbox models have a maximum limit, which is generally indicated in the model number. My Alfa box is named F40 because to its capability to withstand 400 Newton metres of torque. In contrast, the lower version uses the M32 box, which has a maximum limit of 320 Newton metres. None of the gearbox or gearbox models I have come across have a maximum horsepower rating, since horsepower is just a measure of the rate at which torque is generated. I am certain that by entering the model number of your gearbox in the Googlathon, you will quickly discover its maximum torque handling capability. WordSmith
By equipping the vehicle with drag radials and maybe implementing weight reduction measures. I have seen several instances of SC63 in the tens on the forum.
WordSmith
Are you suggesting that it will happen suddenly and without any prior notice?
bvlenci
The initial performance of the gearbox is expected to be satisfactory, but, the much higher torque generated by the engine may expedite the deterioration of the clutch discs in the automatic gearbox. Indications of this occurrence may be seen when the clutches start to experience slippage, which will gradually deteriorate over a period of time. Increasing the intensity of driving the automobile will result in accelerated deterioration of the clutch discs. The slip will serve as your cautionary notice. ByteStorm
The price was given in the low tens. The disparity between 10.999 and the low 10s is substantial. It involves more than just removing the spare wheel and interior. First, one reaches the 10s, and then proceeds to improve by half a second.
