dave783
Greetings, gentlemen. Based only on these pictures, I would appreciate it if someone could provide a diagnosis or provide insight into the reason of this little leak, as well as the likelihood of it being a cost-effective and straightforward repair. Just to provide some background, this is in reference to a BMW E90 330i. Thank you!
ByteStorm
The first photo depicts a sensor that may be experiencing a little leakage. Not a significant task. I am uncertain about the objects I am seeing, save for the undertray seen in the second photo.
dave783
Thank you, ByteStorm. Hopefully, it is a straightforward task.
Paqngo
The oil pressure switch seems to have a little leakage, but because the surrounding aluminium housing is dry, I doubt that the small amount of oil found on the bottom tray is caused by the switch. It is not feasible to evaluate the issue only from a photo. The under tray has to be removed in order to properly assess the problem. ByteStorm
Upon closer inspection, I have seen the presence of oil on the undertray. Initially, I mistakenly saw it as a gap in the moulding. I apologise for the confusion.
WordSmith
Perhaps inspecting the gasket of the oil filter housing?
dave783
Thank you for the responses. Just to clarify, I do not currently own the automobile, thus I am unable to do any inquiry at the moment. I was seeking reassurance that it did not seem unattractive. Clearly, I will never have a definitive understanding unless I am able to thoroughly examine the situation. WordSmith
These kind of leakage are not a major cause for worry. You should be worried about rust and fissures.
dave783
Thank you. I have several photographs showcasing the bodywork, which is free from any corrosion. It is an exceptionally clean and well-maintained specimen.
