drummer
I am seeking clarification on whether the E5 and E10 labelling conventions are universally recognised across the channel or whether E5 is referred to by a different designation. It seems that the term used to refer to this particular concept was commonly recognised as 'super-plus'. I want to traverse the countries of France, Belgium, Germany, and Switzerland by automobile and need reassurance on my itinerary. Furthermore, what is the level of accessibility of the E5 in the aforementioned countries? If it becomes necessary to plan my travel itinerary with consideration for gas stations, it would undoubtedly pose a significant inconvenience. Particularly since I am resolute in my resolve to avoid using highways as well.
ByteStorm
It is advisable to consider procuring a limited quantity of one of the available additives as a precautionary measure. Wishing you a nice journey.
Matt865
I find myself perplexed by this situation. I am unable to comprehend the reasons for your perception of this matter as problematic. Is this due to your awareness of the European Union's plan to gradually discontinue the use of E5 fuel, while maybe overlooking the fact that this phase-out is specifically targeted at the 95 octane level? E5 98 Octane fuel is widely available across Germany, a nation known for its affluent population who often demonstrate their prosperity via their choice of vehicles. Could you please provide more context or specify what aspect of Switzerland you would like to discuss? Naturally, their exorbitantly priced automobiles are fueled with E5 98. Even within the context of France, a country often associated with a culture of indulgence and opulence, the use of E5 98 fuel is widespread, despite France being an early adopter in transitioning from E5 95 to E10 95 fuel. Could you please provide information or context about Belgium? The potential concerns associated with driving through the area are likely to be minimal, since the duration of travel is expected to be brief. What is the distance you will be covering while driving? Is it possible to fill the tank five or six times?
Craigbelont
I have just returned on a journey that took me from Bilbao, via the Pyrenees, continuing through France till reaching Nice, and then returning via Cherbourg. There is no issue in obtaining E5 at any point along the trip.
drummer
The user acknowledges the validity of the issue made and expresses a lack of awareness on the specific phasing out of 95-e5 fuel, while highlighting the continued availability of 98-e5 fuel. I made a foolish mistake. It is reassuring to get this knowledge, which alleviates any concerns I may have had. The overall distance of the journey will be around 2,000 miles, since we want to fully avoid highways and instead appreciate the scenic country roads. Thank you for your response. drummer
It is good to have confirmation. Last year, I embarked on a journey to Barcelona by traversing the Pyrenees mountain range. However, due to the use of my previous vehicle, I did not give much consideration to the fuel consumption throughout the trip. Have you completed the construction of the country roads? drummer
I contemplated this notion, but I harboured uncertainty about its validity, acknowledging the possibility of my inclination towards frivolity, which, upon reflection, may perhaps have been the case. Howard_silver
As previously mentioned by various sources, it is noteworthy that 98 octane E5 fuel is widely accessible within the nations encompassing your itinerary. The fuel known as 95 octane E5 is often found in the market, and it is advisable to verify the marking on the fuel pumps to ensure its availability. Among the several nations being visited, it is noteworthy that Germany now exhibits the highest cost for petroleum. A price of €2.19 per litre was paid for Aral 102 at that location a few weeks before. If your itinerary includes passing through Luxembourg, it is advisable to ensure that your vehicle's fuel tank is empty upon arrival. They continue to maintain the lowest prices among Western European countries.

BEERMAN
Wishing you a pleasant journey! It is worth noting that supermarkets consistently provide lower prices compared to branded fuel stations, and they are often located on the outskirts of most towns. Motorway service stations in the UK are seen to be too expensive. This outcome is not unexpected.
keithmerc220
Our research revealed that TOTAL stations located in metropolitan areas had significantly lower prices compared to supermarkets.
Craigbelont
Did we get satisfaction from the excursion? Affirmative. The term "thumb" may be translated as "sans doute" in French and "sin duda" in Spanish. Due to the anticipated traversal of rugged terrain characterised by poorly maintained, narrow roadways, we made the decision to forgo use the SL. I considered using my Discovery vehicle; but, due to the limited width of some streets, it would not have been feasible. Consequently, we opted for SWMBO's Audi A1, which effortlessly navigated through these tiny passages and exhibited a far higher fuel efficiency, achieving double the mileage per gallon compared to both the SL and the Discovery. I have developed a strong affinity for the Pyrenees, with a particular focus on the Basque Country and Catalonia regions. Over the last 25 years, I have had the opportunity to visit this area around 15 times. Additionally, I have actively participated in rallying events on several occasions, using either my MGB GTV8 or MGA for these purposes. drummer
We explored several gorges in the vicinity of Montpellier, as well as in the Pyrenees region, where we saw instances of adept truck and caravan manoeuvring. I am uncertain of the means by which they ascended and descended the sections characterised by strong gusts of wind, since I had a profound sense of fear when traversing those segments in my little hatchback vehicle. drummer
Upon further reflection, I express concern over the ability of the aforementioned vehicle to successfully navigate some Alpine roads.
BEERMAN
The individual's statement is accurate. In response to the truck drivers' strikes, Patrick Pouyanne implemented a price reduction of 12 cents per litre last year, which may be seen as a public relations strategy. I was uncertain about its current existence, but it is advisable to be vigilant for its potential presence. The reason for mentioning stores is their distinct signage, such as the obvious indication of "Leclerc 5 kilometres straight ahead."
badgx
Presented here is a valuable online platform for doing price comparisons. There are further individuals.
