Has anybody installed one of these devices? The Mercedes U.K. Accessories website offers the aforementioned information. It is necessary to get a harness. I have not seen any appropriate guidelines pertaining to the installation process.

I just had a front and rear camera package fitted by Braybrooks. The installation of the device was executed proficiently; nonetheless, a notable issue persists: the rear camera fails to record while the device is in Driving mode. The device is capable of recording in Parking mode and provides a live preview on a mobile device. However, after attempting various settings adjustments, reformatting, and performing a factory reset, no recordings from the rear camera were successfully saved to the SD card when in Driving mode.
The 'Sport' mode, which effectively operates by capturing footage at double the frame rate, only utilizes the front camera and is unequivocally off.

Has this issue been experienced by any individuals? The current firmware version of the dashcam is 1.01, indicating a potential need for an upgrade. However, doing an online search for "MB dashcam firmware update" yields unsatisfactory results.

I have sent an email to them and am now awaiting a response. Additionally, I plan to contact them through phone in the near future.
It is intriguing that Mercedes, in an official capacity, asserts that their dash cam is not compatible with my specific vehicle type. This assertion is perplexing, given the device just requires electricity from the battery and a signal for ignition activation. To the best of my knowledge, there is no integration between the device and the car's electronics.
Furthermore, it operates impeccably with the exception of a single anomalous component that is absent.

I took this into account throughout the selection process of a dashcam, ultimately deciding on the BlackVue 900X 2CH because to its much reduced cost. Additionally, BlackVue products have garnered considerable acclaim within the industry. The camera in question has a resolution of 4k, resulting in the production of films of exceptional quality.
