Advice for motorway driving with a 2007 BMW E92 335i

Recommended Posts

I want guidance since I am having difficulty locating a similar vehicle. I have listed my 2007 BMW E92 335i on the motorway with a sale price of £1430. I am uncertain about the next steps, since the only reason for selling is the opportunity to purchase my dream vehicle. However, this seems to be inexpensive to me.
In the last two months, I have installed Bosch brake discs and pads, as well as Bilstein shocks and Eibach springs on all four wheels. Extended MOT and replacement of the valve gasket and valve cover. This was executed with the intention of retaining the vehicle, and honestly, if finances permit, I would keep it, as I really love the car, having had it for over a decade.

This is not a sales pitch; I am only seeking guidance.

I am certain that someone would offer you a greater amount instantaneously. I would purchase a 335i for that price if I were not apprehensive about my partner's reaction to acquiring a fourth vehicle for our home. 😂

The advantage of the motorway lies in its convenience; yet, selling privately may result in a frustrating experience.

This topic has a section for sales. A substantial collection of images, a reasonable pricing, and a comprehensive history would significantly enhance the likelihood of a sale.

The concern is whether you can effectively manage the complexities of selling this automobile privately. It is a high-performance vehicle that will undoubtedly attract several test pilots and tire kickers.
A 21-year-old will arrive seeking his dream automobile at a reasonable price, believing that just gasoline and insurance are necessary to maintain a N54 engine. Will you let him to do a test drive?

Upon the theft of my E92, the insurance company provided a little sum, insufficient to get a replacement. I replaced the front and rear shocks, as well as the front control arms, as intended for additional years of ownership. However, the insurance provider said that this constitutes maintenance and declined to enhance their offer.

The price is rather inadequate considering the investment made in the automobile, particularly given the recent maintenance and its excellent condition. Occasionally, motorway costs may be quite inexpensive due to their efficiency in expediting vehicle movement. If time permits, I recommend first advertising it privately to assess the bids received. An immaculate E92 with a favourable history continues to attract interest from discerning purchasers.

The issue with selling to any trader or dealer is that they will prioritise condition, mileage, and service history above any modifications made, thereby offering a trade price based only on those factors.
