jimmy47785
I have discovered an exquisite E Class saloon; however, it is located in Northern Ireland. The price and specifications are satisfactory, and I am really interested; however, I am unable to see the MOT history on the government website. Is there a method to circumvent this, since I like to verify the vehicle's history before to purchase? If not, I am concerned if this may pose a problem when selling in the future. CyberNinja
A courteous inquiry to the seller, indicating your inability to obtain the NI data in England, may be appropriate. Regardless of the cause, NI MoT records remain inaccessible on the gov.uk website. I assume that pertains to access to the pertinent data of the appropriate NI agency. Rashman4u
I understand that some aspects change in Northern Ireland; nonetheless, it fundamentally remains part of the UK, and I am uncertain why a Mercedes-Benz dealership there would have difficulties accessing the MOT history. Ortsmatt
The government website states that MOTs in Northern Ireland have been accessible online since 2017.

jimmy47785
Could it be due to the presence of Northern Ireland license plates?
CyberNinja
I cannot confirm, however I would be rather astonished if Northern Ireland people are unable to acquire Northern Ireland MoT data in the same manner as we can for vehicles tested in mainland Britain. AMG33D
I have just verified my sister's vehicle in Northern Ireland (with Ulster plates) using this page, and all the data and information are shown.

AMG33D
The first MOT for a Northern Ireland vehicle occurs after 5 years, in contrast to a Great Britain registered vehicle. If it is quite recent, that might elucidate the matter.
