Paulinelinker
My car's GPS persistently displays a route from Swansea to our residence, despite our never having been there. Additionally, it sometimes indicates our location in the Bristol Channel. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thank you.
p00rmansp0rsche
Please reset the system. One method included pressing and holding the power button for around 20 seconds.
Paulinelinker
Hello, I attempted the procedure, but regardless of my approach, the screen does not go blank as shown in some YouTube videos. I have reset the device, which resulted in the loss of all my favorite GPS locations that I often used, but the issue remains unresolved. Screwdriver_1
Consider verifying if the maps need updating; if they do, go with the update, since this may rectify the issue. This is only a recommendation.
Paulinelinker
Updating the map is a commendable concept; however, what is the procedure for doing it?
Screwdriver_1
Do you subscribe to map updates with BMW Connected Drive? If applicable, download the most recent version with the BMW Download Manager. Examine the webpage provided below. If you lack a linked disk, I am uncertain how you may refresh the maps. Â

QuirkEinstein
Consider unplugging the vehicle battery for 20 to 30 minutes; this may serve as an effective reset, and it is worth doing.
