jennycarlotta
The headlights on my W211 consistently fog up annually, despite regular cutting and polishing to restore transparency. Extremely bothersome - is there a coating available that can be applied to mitigate this issue? The impact is significant in the rural areas during winter. Thank you
Mistral
Apply a UV-protective lacquer. Some lens polishing kits include it.
WordSmith
Have you contemplated altering the lenses? Aftermarket options appear to be accessible and rather straightforward to replace. One of my friends' headlights on his Fiesta becomes foggy, so he performs the maintenance annually. The expense for new xenon headlights from a dealer is £599.00 per side, raising doubts about the value of their replacement.
CyberNinja
UV protection is essential. Utilise Gtechniq C4 and reapply biennially.
clk320x4
Did you intend that?It is a trim restorer, not a headlight protection.
CyberNinja
Indeed, it is an excellent UV protectant. Essentially a ceramic coating
KissezFun
My Mercedes C207 was equipped with the advanced automatic dipping system. These are undoubtedly the finest headlights I have ever encountered (I understand the current version is even superior). In my experience, I think the Bi Hex headlights on my Skoda Superb to be inferior by comparison.
