Sanitising interior buttons with delicate surfaces
Ortsmatt replied to Geek2232's topic in General Discussions
I use these products in conjunction with an interior spray cleaner (specifically, odk cabin) and thereafter remove any remaining residue by wiping it off with a microfiber towel. -
I inspected the cable and discovered that it had sustained damage when connecting to the lock on the left side of the vehicle.
-
Upon inspection, I discovered that the plastic weatherproofing of the outer cable had detached in a specific area. Consequently, I opted for a replacement cable and ensured that the cabin cable was well lubricated throughout the disassembly process. Applied lubrication to the safety catch of the car's hood, since it was not functioning properly.

Sought assistance in locating a substitute cable. A new cable has been installed at the latch end, resolving the issue. I am now fully resolved. Thank you for your assistance. 👍

I will test it in various scenarios over the next several weeks. Thank you. I haven't seen any modifications. Are there any?
-
I appreciate your guidance. Do you require cable removal to perform that task? It appears to be a complex job to undertake. 🙁 Have you already encountered this task?

Hope someone here may assist with a matter with bonnet catches, while opening and lever has returned to its place, The act of closing it is challenging since it tends to repeatedly spring back up, and the catches fail to secure it until you manipulate the wires and catches, after which it finally shuts.

If these accessories were provided and installed by Kia, there should be no concerns with interference from the can. It is probable that they have deleted the codes and have been unable to reproduce the problem. Without any codes indicating a specific issue (if that is the case), it becomes very challenging to pinpoint a particular circuit. Could you provide me with the list of codes?

It seems to be a problem related to water entering the system. The product is sufficiently new to be protected by a warranty. If any issues arise within the first year, it is advisable to seek assistance from the RAC for recovery, since they provide a vehicle programme for such situations. Regrettably, if you choose to drive directly to the dealer, you will be subject to their discretion and I would venture to guess that their courtesy vehicles will likely be fully reserved for servicing appointments. However, if you purchased the automobile from the same dealer you drove it to, I am certain that they will feel obligated to go to great lengths and provide assistance. Nevertheless, if they possess a collection of trouble codes, it certainly provides them with a starting point. These kind of flaws might be the most laborious to uncover. It is advisable to contact Kia customer services in order to exert more pressure on the dealer. Furthermore, the dealer should have been regularly updating you as part of their standard procedure. If they have not shown the decency of contacting you for a full week, I would recommend directly contacting Kia customer care. Wishing you success.

Constructing a homemade smoke machine to identify hoover or air leaks might be a pragmatic method. The procedure you outlined, which entails using a jar, nylon tubing, baby oil-saturated cloth, and a soldering iron, is a common do-it-yourself configuration for a smoke machine. It may serve as a potent method for detecting leaks in diverse systems, such as the intake or vacuum systems in an automobile. Ensure that all components are well sealed to prevent smoke from escaping, and use care while using the soldering iron to avoid any potential fire threats. It is crucial to always give top priority to safety while handling do-it-yourself tools and equipment.

Indeed, I refrain from using car wash services for my Evoque due to their use of highly abrasive substances and their inadequate cleaning efficacy.I will undertake the task independently, despite my advancing age. Upon purchasing my vehicle in May of this year, it seems that it had a thorough detailing process, as it now has a remarkable sheen. One would hardly believe that it is almost 8 years old and has only accumulated 52,000 kilometres.

Thank you for the excellent answer, gentlemen, particularly for the inclusion of the video reference. One must be kept in the back pocket. Thank you!

It seems to be an excellent journey. May you and your son really enjoy your time together. -
I will thoroughly explore all potential options and hopefully discover a solution.

The code is P0141. There is no smell of eggs.

I will establish a connection and inform you accordingly.

Thank you one again. The sensors are accurate. I will need to change the second sensor once more. It has been suggested that the issue may be due to a defective catalytic converter. What is your opinion on this matter?
-
After replacing both lambda sensors on my 2008 Rio, I have noticed that the check light sometimes illuminates and then extinguishes a few days later. After connecting my OBD metre, it indicates that the post catalytic converter sensor is malfunctioning. However, when I had it inspected at Kia, they reported no problems. Does anybody have any suggestions?

The CX-60 did not pass the Swedish elk-test.

Indeed, it is accurate. -
The Mazda CX-60 recently underwent the elk-test conducted by the renowned Swedish magazine "Vi Bilägare," which gained prominence for its involvement in the Mercedes A-class incident. Regrettably, the Mazda CX-60 did not pass the test. The left tyre had a near detachment, causing the rim to make contact with the asphalt surface. Currently, they are awaiting the arrival of a new set of tyres with criminal characteristics in order to conduct a further examination. Mazda has so far refrained from providing any response. The current ambiguity is in the presence or absence of the updated suspensions in the automobile.

Based on my understanding, there is a similarity between the W203 and the W209 in this particular aspect. Under some circumstances, it is possible to only replace the armrest lid, namely the component that functions as a hinge and allows for left and right movement. The wiring for the telephone is located inside the lower lid, namely the section that swings in the front and back, in conjunction with the armrest lid. Removing the armrest lid and installing the replacement might be a cumbersome task. Mastering the art of using the various levers and pins in a precise manner requires a distinct skillset. One potential solution may include employing a second individual or using adhesive tape often referred to as duct tape. I am not cognizant of a straightforward approach; rather, it necessitates steadfastness and a copious use of profanity.

The installation process was satisfactory, however there is still an occurrence of odoriferous emissions when the windows are open, suggesting that the previous system may not have been the root cause of the issue. The individual is now considering the inclusion of a 'Y' pipe in their analysis.

The Imasaf system was ordered in accordance with the aforementioned link, and the components were promptly delivered from Germany within a commendable timeframe of three days. The individuals at Bmerc hold the belief that their products exhibit superior quality compared to the typical offers found at Walker and Kwikfit. However, the ultimate verification of this claim will be determined via the process of fitting. The possibility of using aluminiumised steel, despite its weight of 27kg for both goods, remains a significant consideration. It is anticipated that the item will be returned expeditiously, maybe by the beginning of the following week.
