  1. Perhaps it's waiting for the inside to stop smelling like McDonald's, KFC, Subway, burned rubber, or overheated discs and pads before signaling that it's ready for pickup after a thorough examination and a good warm-up. Or, to prevent the frameless window glass from being damaged during construction.
  2. he anthracite open pore wood door to the cubby phone charging space is starting to fracture on my 2021 GLC. Anyone anyone go through this..? I wonder whether MB will take care of this because the vehicle is still under warranty.
  3. If you want to keep getting the free replacement, you have to make sure that any further brake repairs (to brake discs, drums, cables, and hydraulics) that are discovered during an inspection or service are taken care of within 10 days.
  4. Okay, I'm familiar with how to reset it since I've had it in a prior vehicle, but it went off inside the Mercedes-Benz garage when an AMG GT car started up. Apparently, these systems are highly sensitive. Only wish I could disable the interior alarm, but if it goes off again, I'll be forced to hole only have one alarm because dogs have been known to set it off in the past.
  5. Howdy, everyone! I have a concern about my Mercedes-Benz ME: my interior alarm went off, and it showed up on my ME app as a recent alert; however, it continues showing up whenever I open the app. I was wondering if there is a method to erase it, or if it would simply go after some amount of time, or if it will remain put. Although I am aware that the collision warning may be deleted, I am unable to locate any means to erase this. Any thoughts?
  6. I decided to go with the Ocean Blue v2 with the additional pack. Construction will begin in October, with an anticipated delivery date of the beginning of December. I, too, can hardly wait.
  7. Ocean blue is our inaugural edition, coming in one month! Can't wait.
  8. Tonight I took a closer look at the frame. Is it just me, or is this subframe crooked, or is this how they should be? (Piece of timber to display) There seems to be a thin sheet of metal linked to the thicker material behind the HiLo suspension on the underside of the subframe; does this thin portion show any symptoms of weakness, or is it not cause for concern?
  9. Greetings and thanks for the quotes. Don't want to spend too much money blasting it in case it comes back with holes and has to be replaced nevertheless.
  10. 1984, perhaps the original, but the previous owner said he repaired the vehicle and it seemed clean at the time, but now his bodges are beginning to show (most notably in the trunk floor region where he bonded metal plates over holes and smoothed it over)... Thank you for inquiring about the cost of shot blasting.
  11. How can I tell if my rear subframe has to be replaced? It has peeling surface rust, but how do I know whether I need to replace it? While it's off, I'm going to clean it up with a wire wheel and install new nuts and bushes, but I also want to make sure it's still safe to use. Is it still OK if I smash it with a hammer and poke at it and no holes appear? What is the best option if I do need one? Is it powder coated or phosphate primed?
  12. Former MBUK Retail CEO Angela Shepherd has no vested interest in the Eastern Western brand. Her current location is Stellantis. CEO of MBUK is Gary Savage.
  13. My internet search for a driving helmet led me to Demond Tweeks, where I was shocked to see prices of £400 and more. crossing the tens of thousands mark??? After much deliberation, I decided to spend about £150 on a Playskool-style cheap vehicle helmet with a fireproof lining and other safety features, much like a cycling helmet.
  14. In my opinion, the DVLA has become cold and impersonal in a calculated effort to increase customer frustration and, perhaps, revenue. I am now mailing out my appeal form after having it reviewed and signed.
