I really value and am grateful for your gesture. Thank you. It is quite painful to experience this just after receiving a fresh ban six months ago. On Monday, I will get further information. Positive indicators include the absence of overheating in the oil, normal oil level, and the absence of coolant contamination resulting in a milky appearance. Additionally, there were no audible indications of a catastrophic failure such as a loud explosion caused by a rod piercing the engine block. I am mentally prepared for the worst-case scenario, which would need completely replacing the engine. However, I am hopeful that it may be able to repair it instead. I reside in British Columbia, Canada, and I would really appreciate any recommendations for alternative establishments that specialise in motor rebuilding or installation, which provide more cost-effective options compared to authorised dealers. Regrettably, the costs charged by dealers for components are exorbitantly inflated, even taking into account the exchange rate. I am referring to a price difference of $10,000 for purchasing the same item on this side of the border, as opposed to buying it elsewhere.

My 2010 4.2 L R8, which has travelled 38,000 km, had a sudden increase in loudness and then ceased functioning, emitting smoke from both the exhaust and engine compartment. The engine is now unresponsive and the coolant light is on, yet the check engine light remains off. The diagnosis is still ongoing, but the prevailing hypothesis is that a head gasket failure occurred, resulting in the flooding of a cylinder with coolant and potentially causing extensive damage to the whole engine. Do you have any specific guidance or advice? The video clip I want to provide has an extension that is not permitted, but it seems to be indicative of piston slap.

Recommendations for 1998 SL320 maintenance?

Sure, I had a v6 from the year 2000, so you won't have to worry about it. Just be sure to use the roof, since that may be an issue. -

I take that you're saying it's the V6? -

Issues may arise with the electrical thermostat located underneath the secondary water pump. If your foot's temperature is uneven, it's probably on its last legs. It distributes water to the opposite bank of cylinders and is situated on the driver's side of the fire wall; I've been almost there when it failed to perform its job. Putting the bonnet up straight and following the pipe back from the T junction near the rad will lead you there, but it's a hassle to get there. Because of all the geometry involved (both front and rear), you should probably have your tyres aligned every so often and check the tread depth. Good luck. -

Really enjoyed driving one of them. The mechanism might create difficulties if not utilised sometimes, so it's important to stay on top of the basic items and use the hard and softtop often. Gearbox servicing may make removing the torx studs difficult, thus it's recommended to use lots of water for at least two days before trying to remove the filter. As a driver, you will find it delightful. Find a wealth of information here to help you out if you become stuck. Take care and have fun. -
I have identified the cause of my issue - it is the spark plugs. These seem to be authentic and in a very deteriorated condition. #4 is heavily coated with oil. Does this imply that my rings are missing in that piston? The following list is arranged in sequence from the driver's side to the passenger's side.

I performed a swap operation where I replaced the value 1 with 2 and the value 3 with 4. Subsequently, I eliminated the temporary code. Upon inspection, I saw a little amount of oil dampness on the cylinder towards the passenger side. The remaining three were completely devoid of moisture. Is the valve cover gasket not installed correctly?

My mileage is 88,000 miles. I am seeing the P2188 error code, indicating a high air-fuel mixture at idling. I recall seeing a misfire on either bank 2 or 3. Consequently, I intend to start the replacement of faulty components. I need assistance in resolving this issue. Should we begin with a set of coils or spark plugs?

I suggest examining the settings, as there may be a potential for modification. Alternatively, it may have been modified in a recent update.

Is the Key Fob unable to operate the window or roof mechanisms?
BEERMAN replied to Geek2232's topic in General Discussions
Although you didn't explicitly state it, I assume that the other key is able to start the vehicle, but just the convenience closer feature is not functioning properly. Alternatively, the issue may be caused by the infrared light-emitting diode (LED) on the key. There is no programming available for the key. Which specific automobile belongs to me? -

It is quite probable that the mistake was caused by the operator. The key may be configured to provide access to either all doors or only the driver door, as indicated in the handbook. If my recollection is accurate, activating this option allows for the opening of all doors with a second click after first opening the driver door. -
Greetings, everyone. In the past, I had many Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) automobiles. Currently, I own a DC5 Integra Type R, a Forester STI, and a TT6 Supra. I am interested in purchasing a first-generation V10 with a manual gearbox, namely the white manual model available for sale in Wales. Alternatively, I am also considering a second-generation V10 with a stronic gearbox. Feeling anxious about driving a car for the first time! Any thoughts on the launch control feature? It seems like it would be enjoyable and easy for my wife to drive. I am delighted to be present and would really appreciate any information on the attached Stronic automobile with the registration number AV16UYF. Thank you very much.

The next oil change will occur after 7500 miles. The 4000 service may include a vehicle inspection, vehicle check, brake pad replacement, or brake fluid replacement.

Can factory glass be retrofitted with window tints?

The option was really available on the S204, however the saloon's availability is uncertain. -
Over the last 15 years, I have been operating an Astra VXR 3 door hatch. Consequently, I made the decision to get a 4-door Ewok in order to facilitate the transportation of my two Dachshunds to and from the rear seats. It has become much more convenient now!

Comparison between C-HR and Yaris Cross
BEERMAN replied to Blu_Ray_UK2007's topic in General Discussions
Both of us voted without reading the subsequent question. I have a contrary viewpoint to Paul. CHR and YC are not linked. I had a strong aversion to the CHR style. -
If you have already removed the strut, then you have completed the most difficult part. Obtain high-quality spring compressors and proceed with the replacement yourself. I recently performed a similar task, and it was not a complex endeavour. Just to clarify, I only made a modification to one side. However, I do own the compressors in case the other side need attention. I did not see any discernible difference in the handling when I made a change. The vehicle remains level and behaves adequately. However, I have not yet taken it around the Nurburgring to fully evaluate its performance.
