To facilitate cranking without initiating the start, it is likely most effective to detach the cam sensor connector. On the M57, this was rather simple since it is situated at the front upper section of the engine. On the N57, it is located at the upper back, but may be readily accessed after removing the engine cover.

Greetings, I am the proud owner of an R170 SLK. The fluid level in the roof is currently below the minimal threshold. May I get guidance on fluid replacement? Thank you.

Recall issued for EGR in BMW 2 Series! The year 2024

The vehicle has not been maintained for 18 months. Although BMW recommends maintenance every 24 months, there is one aspect that they would likely notice. However, I would strongly resist complying with their recommendation. -
These engines are susceptible to changes in vacuum pressure. Perform a smoke test on the automobile to detect any leaks. It seems that the problem persists when the temperature is warm, but is concealed by the warm environment. Most likely, the reason is that the ICV (Idle Control Valve) is closed, resulting in a reduced occurrence of hoover leaks.

Update: After allowing the battery to charge on a Noco Genius 10 for about 6 hours, it reached a voltage of 12 Volts and the warning signs disappeared. However, the vehicle still failed to start. Is there any benefit to allowing it to remain undisturbed overnight for an additional 6-8 hours? The Noco device has the ability to immediately identify and stop overcharging, therefore minimising any more harm to the battery beyond what currently exists. Immediately upon disconnecting from the charger, the voltage plummets to 8 Volts and the engine fails to start. I made a last attempt to start the vehicle in order to take it to the repair tomorrow morning, but it is unlikely to be successful. Laughing out loud. It is quite probable that the service in question is related to mobile devices.

I am seeking to substitute the battery in my 2012 Audi R8 V8. The battery was fully depleted when I attempted to go to the workplace this morning, so I concluded that it could be an opportune moment to finally replace it. I am astonished that the R8, which I drove during the whole Memorial Day weekend, is now fully inoperative. Attempted to do leaping and charging actions, but unfortunately, no success was achieved. The battery light and gearbox malfunction indicators are now illuminated. The R-Tronic system is very responsive. My previous PPI (Pre-Purchase Inspection) advised me to replace the battery since it failed the Midtronics Test over a year ago. Amusing. Do you have any suggestions for a suitable replacement battery?

Devastated by the exorbitant expenses of repairing my heart.
jennycarlotta replied to Mistral's topic in General Discussions
The cost of the ride height sensor is $1580. The item in question has a maximum cost of $175 for an authentic unit. Its installation can be completed in about one hour, even under the influence of alcohol. Additionally, if the vehicle is uncooperative, it may take another hour to properly adjust the suspension. Avoid bringing your automobile to a dealer for any reason, unless it is for recall repair, although they are likely to mishandle it. By visiting this topic, you have taken a positive step towards finding a reputable business in your region. I am certain that the forum members will be able to assist you in locating a suitable establishment. The costs are exorbitant. It is possible to transport your automobile to our shop, have it repaired, and have it returned to you at a cost lower than the amount mentioned. -
Apologies, but I am unable to provide any feedback on Litchfield. However, I am aware that MSL has a strong reputation and is highly recommended. If you own a C63, I suggest seeking out professionals who have received positive reviews. In this case, I recommend considering a visit to Birmingham.

Is it necessary to go such a great distance only to get a grinder? Perhaps I might attend a performance of the play "Laverne and Shirley" during my visit.

Is it necessary to use Makita or can I use a generic brand on my SL?? 🤔🤪

As the temperature increases, the coolant system undergoes pressurisation, therefore preventing the coolant from boiling. If there is no excessive heat and no fluid loss, I would recommend that it is OK. For tasks that need a coolant refill, I prefer to use a vaccum filler. This device effectively removes all air from the system and then replenishes it. Applause.

Oil replacement after winter storage
jennycarlotta replied to jennycarlotta's topic in General Discussions
That is the objective I am considering. This year, I want to release my R8 and I like to use new oil for the season. -
As a resident of the Midwest, I store my automobile throughout the winter season. What percentage of individuals are doing oil changes after storage, irrespective of mileage? I have accumulated around 2,000 miles since my previous alteration. I am interested in hearing the many viewpoints that exist.
