  1. Thank you for your response. I was contemplating a diagnostic instrument. Could you kindly provide a recommendation? The vehicle does stop, but it requires a complete depression of the pedal. I completed around five instances of braking from 60 to 20 mph today. I may do this over many days and assess my status thereafter. Salutations.
  2. Greetings, Recently, I identified a malfunctioning calliper on my BMW X3 E83 2.0, and upon further inspection, I discovered the brakes were in disarray. It is hardly unexpected, given that I just purchased it for many thousand dollars. I have replaced the brakes with new discs, pads, callipers, hoses, and handbrakes all around. I have installed everything, however I am experiencing a low brake pedal and am unable to bleed the brakes effectively. I own an ezibleed system; everything seemed satisfactory, however there was no success. The wife attempted to use the brakes, but to no avail. Gravity has not yet diminished. I now have an illuminated engine management light. The master cylinder has fluid, and I see no visible leaks. Is there anybody that can assist with this?
  3. Greetings to everyone, My vehicle is a 2009 Mercedes W211 E280. Yesterday, the MOT failed due to a broken offside rear coil spring. I did not see any difference in driving with the damaged coil spring; is this typical? I contacted my local Mercedes-Benz dealership about both rear coil springs, and they quoted me £207 for the springs and seals. However, they do not have them in stock, and if I place an order, I will need to wait 5 to 7 days. My MOT expires on Friday; I have learnt to schedule a MOT 3 to 4 weeks in advance of its expiration. My alternative is to purchase coil springs from GSF Parts, who charged me £98 for each. The brand is Lesjofors, and I believe they do not include seals. Should I purchase them or order them from the Mercedes-Benz dealer and await their arrival? Any guidance would be much appreciated. Thank you.
  4. These engines are regarded as very durable compared to contemporary power plants, provided they have regular oil changes and maintain an efficient cooling system; they may achieve extraordinary mileage.
  5. The vehicle is immobile, Dave783; I am inclined to disagree.
  6. Any alterations or noises occurring when engaging the clutch. DMFs often have a little rattling when malfunctioning. Agreement with VWDaveBMW's statement.
  7. What is the rationale for using two accounts? You installed the new pump and did not reinstall the old one.
  8. I am really pleased by the work you perform. I like the personalised tray/charging dock. Well done!
  9. The majority of individuals get the 3-VIN licence, which grants full capability for up to three VAG automobiles. The VCDS software is licensed via the adaptor, which is provided free of charge. The software is compatible only with the Windows operating system.
  10. Search for the Ross-Tech HEX-V2 adapter/cable. https://store.ross-tech.com/shop/vchv2_ent/
  11. Hello, I concur that I examined them last night. There are several options, and I am pondering which one is really worth buying. Do you have any guidance or recommendations? Another aspect to consider is that the learning process is continuous and has no definitive conclusion. Thank you.

  13. Consider using an LED device for the dipped/low beam, however keep in mind that the halogen reflector was not specifically built for LED devices. Furthermore, it seems that Philips manufactures a H7 LED replacement that is compliant with traffic regulations.
  14. The Body Control Module (BCM) located under the instrument panel above the driver's footwell provides direct power to the headlight bulbs. I would anticipate that any garage specialising in VAG automobiles would own diagnostic instruments capable of extracting fault/error codes from the many control modules included in our contemporary VAG vehicles. Begin here. Ensure that the vertical alignment of the dipped/low beam is accurate, since it might impact the brightness of the beam pattern in front of the vehicle. A malfunctioning headlight assembly is a less probable cause, but still a possibility, especially if it is equipped with range control and the motor/mechanism has malfunctioned.
  15. The Facelift B8 A5 model offers two options for headlamp assemblies: halogen (PR-8BD) or HID/xenon (PR-8BP). If you are considering changing or upgrading the H7 bulb, you should have halogen assemblies. Before attempting to "upgrade" the Osram H7 bulbs, there are a few things you should check: Perform a diagnostic scan on the automobile using VCDS, OBDeleven, or a similar tool to check for any fault codes in Address 09 (CECM/BCM) that may be connected to the headlamp output voltage. Verify the extensive programming of the CECM/BCM to ensure that the headlight's "dipped beam" is not functioning at a decreased voltage or intensity. Inspect the vertical alignment of the low/dipped headlamp.
  16. I appreciate your input. Do you have a certain year in mind? Did the face lift occur after 2014? In which year was the manual discontinued? I have several enquiries.
  17. Greetings, everyone. I have no prior experience with the R8. Presently, I own a Porsche GT4 and am contemplating selling it. I am strongly contemplating moving to a R8. Considering my little understanding of cars, I would really welcome advise from experienced owners about the specific model I should choose. I am interested in purchasing a 5.2 manual gearbox vehicle. Furthermore, I am somewhat ignorant about what would be advantageous to search for. I am receptive to either a coupe or a spyder. My budget is between £60,000 and £70,000. Opinions are requested, both from women and men.
  18. Does it have a diesel particulate filter (DPF)? Our 2007 320d model does not have one, but the later 2007 models have. However, I am uncertain whether the 6-cylinder engine variant has one.

  20. There is a firm on eBay named outlet-london. I really suggest it, however it did take 6 weeks to complete, which is a little drawback.
  21. I discovered a British firm on eBay and reached out to them to commission a personalised wheel.
  22. Thank you. They sent the whole set and customised it to fit my vehicle, since it had a modern type steering wheel on an older model. The price is exorbitant, amounting to £1240. 🙄
  23. Recently, I installed carbon seat inserts and found that the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) steering wheel seemed outdated. Therefore, I made the decision to buy a new carbon steering wheel customised to my specifications. The product has a carbon fibre top and bottom, Alcantara sides, and an airbag with white stitching. It also includes a white 12olock band. I see that it enhances the interior to some extent. Please feel free to share your thoughts.
