A leak lets air in while the engine is cooling but coolant out while it's running, which might sound alarming. The coolant that ought to be drawn from the reservoir is instead displaced by that air. Like me, you can keep a valley plate leak under control by checking the coolant under the pressure cap weekly. There may not be enough coolant in the engine if you only check the reservoir level twice a year. You won't be able to tell when there's a more serious issue with the cooling system because of the odour of coolant caused by the seepage. A job of that magnitude would easily cost $1500 USD, and it would require about 10 hours of actual work. They might as well change the gaskets on the valve covers while they're at it.

I agree, it's not good, particularly if the repair in the valley involves more than just a gasket. Repairing it, of course, will not be an issue for the dealer mechanic. It might be helpful to seek the opinion of a third-party mechanic. If you can't afford to fix it, then just take off that amount.

Hi! Consider purchasing this 2015 Toyota Sienna AWD from the dealership; it has one owner, approximately 100,000 kilometres on the odometer, a perfect history of maintenance, and a clean carfax. During the mechanical inspection, a small coolant leak was discovered inside the v-bank, and the vehicle is being sold by a Lexus dealership. According to the mechanic, it's not a big deal because these V6 engines typically have some small seepage there and continue to last indefinitely. According to his observations, there is no active seepage, no coolant pooling or dripping, and the area is dry. To him, it was just a dry, coloured spot. According to the mechanic, this is a common issue with most Toyota and Lexus V6s. I have heard nothing but bad things about this coolant in the V-bank, but this dealership seems legit. Is anyone able to shed light on this? Rest assured, the floor is completely free of any pooling or dripping coolant. Before I commit to purchasing this Sienna, I would greatly value your opinion. If the pressure stays at 60 psi for a month, it's probable that further regular checks won't be necessary. Check the valve cap for a sealing washer; many of them are missing.

Turning the wheel upside down allows for more space to store it, but checking the pressure is more of a challenge because the valve is in the way.

This is a picture of the jack mounting and kit that Kia provided. Besides using big rubber bands to secure the tools to the jack, my setup is identical. Along with the wheel, my spare is lying flat and serving as storage. For the next few days, my daughter will be driving, so I will not be able to capture any pictures of my installation. You can fit any size Sportage wheel into the trunk of a regular car.

For twenty-four pounds, I recently purchased a jack bracket on eBay. It may say Hyundai on the label, but this bracket is actually genuine KIA/Hyundai. After assembly, I tidied up the jack by putting the various components of the handle, an extending wheel brace, and the tow hook—all of which had pipe insulation of different sizes—on top of the jack. Creates an attractive setup. I have a spare set of wheels that are technically limited to 50mph, but they are brand new, authentic KIA 17" 7J steel wheels with a 215/65 x 17 tyre that gives the same rolling radius as the original wheels. I have more room for storage now that the wheels are lying flat.

In one of Darkside's videos, it was demonstrated that a stock or mapped engine barely noticed a full intake, not even a drop-in filter. They have no effect on the engine's power output until you install large turbos and other components that increase the air intake. As for background noise, it won't be much either. Diesel induction sounds greatly differ from gasoline induction sounds.

No idea if it has that asd or not; I just haven't noticed it. Loved my previous E90 330D—tuned, straight through intake, etc. The sound of a straight six diesel may be off-putting to some, but I find it enjoyable and it allows me to take pleasure in my daily commute.

At least it's not the 4-cylinder diesel, but I still don't think I could stand to hear more of that "death rattle." Did you know that your car comes equipped with an ASD system that can simulate engine noise? If that's the case, installing an intake won't alter the engine's audible nature from within the cabin.

My "susjestion" [] is that you shouldn't squander either of those things. This diesel engine has a very specific range of power. The point isn't really about the intake noise.

Who is using what? I realise my contribution will be minimal, but I am captivated by their sound and wanted to acquire something for mine because of that. Does it make more sense to modify the airbox by cutting holes and then install a K&N drop on panel? A nice, if pricey, one is done by pro ram. As well as any subjects I am grateful.

Numerous friction material residues were present at the base of the pan; however, the mechanic who replaced my ATF and filter noted that the interior of the gearbox appeared fairly pristine.
