IrvesBMW
Greetings, I am requesting guidance about a 2017 M4 Competition with 41,500 kilometres that I have just obtained. The vehicle is in great condition and has several modifications (see to the attached picture). I am aware that it has an aftermarket exhaust system, although I am uncertain of the brand. I have solicited offers for the sale of the automobile, but I am receiving just £23,000 to £24,000. I have seen normal M4s with elevated mileage being sold for over £27,000, therefore I am enquiring if anybody could provide a ballpark estimate of the actual value I would anticipate for mine. TechWhiz
From whence have the 24k offers originated, from traders/WBAC, or from private offers? Are the ones you have seen private sales or transactions conducted by traders?
dave783
If trading in you will never get top price, for that you have to put some effort in and sell yourself.
IrvesBMW
The 24k offers originated from a luxury automobile dealership.
TechWhiz
Traders factor in profit and preparation costs, so you won't get forecourt prices from them. Similarly, when selling privately, there's no warranty or comeback, so you won't get forecourt prices either. Based on what you're seeing advertised, I think the trade price you've been offered is about right.

Matt865
You're giving me the incorrect idea with those prices. I'd want to see high-mileage vehicles that have sold for £24k in the last year, but I haven't seen any. I've looked on AutoTrader, and some are selling for less than that, while others are selling for £17k. The pricing of these cars may vary greatly based on factors like condition, mileage, and accessories. My vehicle, which had 21,00 miles when I bought it two years ago, cost £25,500.So, that's a 2019 plate for our purposes here. It's a stolen and recovered cat n mite. When I was in the market for a vehicle, I saw similar ones for between £30,000 and £31,000, with similar specs.Vehicle had just one owner and was not a cat, too.My car is currently worth around £20,000 in its stock condition. However, I did spend around $2,000 on an engine 4 pin crank hub upgrade, which is likely the only modification that will return your investment. I believe you could get a better price if you sold all of the parts it has. Just so you know, even though you claim it's a M Performance Bonnet, it's not a BMW M Performance Bonnet because they didn't equip it with carbon fibre and other premium materials.
