bvlenci
I purchased brake discs for my 2003 Japanese import W220 S500. I attempted to install it in the garage, but it was too large. Why would this be? Was I sold the wrong size, and do I now have aftermarket components installed? My brake calipers and brake pads are all mercedes.i have never replaced brake discs though. bvlenci
Right one is my. They polished it and placed back in since they couldn't obtain replacement immediately away.
PixelMaster
Varied market, varied specifications?
Motoman
The variation depends on the suspension type—Classic, Avantgarde, Sport, AMG, etc. It is essential to match the discs' component number to the vehicle's VIN using EPC. When purchasing authentic discs from a Mercedes Benz dealer, the parts counter will verify this for you.
bvlenci
You are correct. Japanese imports are smaller and more costly. Anyways. Got it reimbursed. Thank you.
alpaco45
Many years back when we had a motor industry, on of my relatives worked a large motor maker. Given our mutual interest in automobiles, we would converse about his profession and vehicles. He informed me that the VIN plate and chassis stamped number were affixed to the vehicle one station after it was painted. Subsequently, after a few hours, when the stock was short, they would implement a model update to the suspension, among other modifications. Several years before, a family member had a Vauxhall Cavalier 20i GL. He had the brakes changed at the main dealership, where the attendant informed him that the installation would be delayed by a few hours due to the presence of SRI pads instead of GL/20i pads in his vehicle. Progress has been made with the arrival of "just in time" components; nevertheless, in my opinion, errors during the assembly of vehicles may still occur, and it is possible that the parts supplier made an error. Blu_Ray_UK2007
Occasionally, it is due to previous owners altering the callipers. Original components from Mercedes will not be compatible.
Howard_silver
My GLC has three alternatives; it is not really novel, to be honest. 360 mm, 342 mm, 320 mm
Blu_Ray_UK2007
What about thickness ? These are too thick.
