VWDaveBMW
Hello, I need advice on where to get a new engine for my 530d. A knocking noise is to blame for this. I call Hertfordshire my home. Much obliged.
keithmerc220
It's highly probable that the knocking is caused by the bottom end crank shell bearings, big ends, etc. It's possible that you won't need to replace the engine, though the cost will be £3k or more.Along with you, Johnny Roper will be enquiring about the (n57) I assume engine. He might be able to fix it if you happen to live close by. Darrellll
Fixing the n57 can be equally costly.

keithmerc220
My point is that purchasing a new engine, specifically a used one, could potentially lead to the purchase of a puppy.
