2017 V60 D3 – oil level abruptly shifts from MAX/OK to LOW

Greetings to all,I possess a 2017 Volvo V60 D3 2.0 diesel with an automatic gearbox, presently at 189,477 kilometres. The vehicle is equipped with an electronic oil level sensor and lacks a manual dipstick.I observed an anomaly in the oil level measurement.At 188,072 kilometres, I replenished the oil to nearly the maximum level.
At 188,490 km, following a distance of 418 km, the oil level remained nearly unchanged.At a distance of 189,477 km, the indicator reads LOW.What appears peculiar to me is the absence of a gradual decline in the exhibited level. It remained at a consistent level before abruptly indicating LOW.Yesterday, after the vehicle had remained stationary on flat terrain for multiple hours, I examined the oil level and it indicated LOW. The dashboard did not display an independent warning notification.I examined it once more today after the vehicle had been stationary for approximately one hour. Remarkably, the screen exhibited MAX / OK for approximately 5 seconds before abruptly transitioning to LOW.The vehicle operates typically, and I have not encountered any oil pressure alerts.Might this be a defective oil level sensor or a problem with the electronic oil level gauge? Has anyone encountered the oil level indicator fluctuating from MAX/OK to LOW in this manner?I have refrained from adding additional oil as I wish to avoid overfilling in case the sensor provides an erroneous reading.

Perhaps…It strikes me as peculiar that I should be alerted if the oil level is insufficient, even while the engine is operational. Nonetheless, I receive no notification.
