PixelMaster
Greetings, everyone. The vehicle in question is a 2006 Mercedes A Class Auto 3dr Avantgarde 1.5 petrol W169. A period of time had elapsed. Commenced the task once again. The battery is functioning well. Recently had brake replacement and servicing. Operates OK, but, the indicators, horn, and full beam are non-functional. The technician is unable to reset the service light due to the malfunctioning of the other steering controls. Indicators are activated when the dangers are activated. Curious. Could someone provide some clarification on this matter (sorry for the pun haha). Is it possible that the issue lies with the control module? Assistance would be very appreciated. Thank you.
bvlenci
Conducting a diagnostic on Star might be beneficial in determining if a certain module is malfunctioning.
Blu_Ray_UK2007
There may be a malfunctioning clock spring.
bvlenci
I also had the belief that, in the event of this malfunction, an Airbag warning light would typically be present.
Blu_Ray_UK2007
That would be logical as the airbag is only linked via the clock spring connection IIRC. However, he did not mention the absence of an airbag light. Nevertheless, it is worth investigating anyhow.
PixelMaster
Greetings, individuals. I value all the responses. The airbag warning light is not illuminated.
PixelMaster
Might the relay module be the cause?
Darrellll
Have you reviewed this original post? I would also speculate that this may be the cause.
PixelMaster
Thank you. I will investigate it. Can this issue persist even in the absence of an activated airbag light?
PixelMaster
Alternatively, it might be the ignition relay.
bvlenci
I recommend refraining from making conjectures (which is the extent of our capabilities) and having the vehicle scanned (ideally using Star) to get the trouble codes.
Darrellll
Parts Darts is an enjoyable game, however.
PixelMaster
Tomorrow, I will get it examined by an automotive electrician.
