Swap display unit/ radio unit- pls advise

Greetings, I am seeking guidance on upgrading the navigation and DAB system in my 2019 BMW 520 G31, which now lacks these features. Any assistance would be appreciated.
Currently looking at ebay, do I need a new display screen and radio unit?
Would it be more advantageous to acquire a new Android display unit radio?


For your information, my current display unit lacks touchscreen functionality, and the radio does not include a CD player; I am uncertain if this is relevant.

Acquire a new display and obtain a CarPlay/MMI box or equivalent; I would advise against a touchscreen, as it poses a safety risk in my opinion. My previous courtesy vehicle featured a touchscreen, which I found somewhat distracting when driving.

In the near run you could just buy a phone cradle and one of those £10 bluetooth adapters which allows you play audio through the FM radio. I assume you have a smart phone of some description?

I have Bluetooth connection which works ok, only dont have the sat nav and dab, which I would like to upgrade but unsure as to which Idrive I have currently..

I have verified the VIN on several websites, which indicate that the DAB and satellite navigation are standard features; however, I find myself perplexed and suspect that the dealership may have misled me. The dealership stated that the vehicle did not possess satellite navigation and was in poor condition upon receipt as a trade-in.

Which version of iDrive do you possess? I have a 2019 vintage form F36 and that has touch screen on Idrive 6.
It is equipped with satellite navigation; nevertheless, I find it unsatisfactory, so I affix my Samsung mobile to the air vent and utilise Google Maps.
I did get Carplay unlocked...but only my wife has Iphone so no good for me. The Android mirror is also subpar.

Thanks for the advise guys - I have searched, and the only model numbers I can locate are in the attached photograph.
Looking around it says that an obsolete software version, presumably belongs to NBT EVO system??


A new display will presumably require programming, correct? Should I also update the obsolete software, in your opinion?
It is uncertain whether it is relevant, but the radio does not include a CD/DVD player.

Greetings, everyone. Thank you for the responses. I received one email back indicating that my model is Enavevo. To upgrade to ID6, including VIN matching and coding, the cost will be £1,095.
