Howard_silver
I have just acquired an EV6 as a corporate vehicle, installed a Sync2 home charger, and use Ovo Energy for charging at any time. Unable to establish a connection for scheduled charging with the OVO Energy app. When the car is linked, the dashboard indicates a connection with the illumination of the green cable light; yet, the Kia Connect app displays it as not plugged in. The Ovo Energy app interacts directly with the Kia Connect app, leading me to believe it perceives a lack of connection, hence preventing the initiation of charging. The vehicle will begin charging upon command using the Sync2 app; however, you will not benefit from reduced rates until using the Ovo Energy app. Any assistance is welcome. Blu_Ray_UK2007
Eliminate Connect from the set and calculate the appropriate fee manually. Utilize the OVO application to recharge the vehicle.
Howard_silver
I believed that the OVO app required interaction with the Kia Connect app to facilitate charging; however, I will uninstall the Connect app from my phone and attempt to charge without it, as I am eager to explore all options. Thus far, I have been unable to charge at home unless utilizing the Wallbox app, which does not provide access to the cheaper tariff, hence my reliance on the OVO Energy app.
Rashman4u
Indeed, refrain from using any Kia products for connection purposes. When the automobile is connected and the charger activates, it will start charging. Ensure that your vehicle is configured to charge on AC up to your desired maximum. I typically maintain mine at 90%. This may be accomplished using the Kia app or directly inside the vehicle. Subsequently, configure your schedule inside the Ovo application. Howard_silver
I have not used the Kia Connect app for charging; the schedule is configured in the Ovo app to charge to 100% by 6 AM, with the car plugged in at 5 PM the previous evening. However, it fails to begin charging (the Kia Connect app indicates it is not plugged in). I believe this is the source of the problem, since the OVO app is linked to the Kia app, and I suspect the car is not reporting its connected status. All additional information is provided in both applications, including current charge percentage and range, among others.
Rashman4u
Link your Ovo App directly to the charger application, or alternatively, use the charger application to establish a schedule, which is what I have implemented. This is from ChatGPT. A Sync2 / Sync Energy home charger may be programmed to charge according to a schedule. sync.energy Below are the essential information and considerations: Confirmed Capabilities of scheduling Utilize the Sync Energy application to establish a designated charging interval (e.g., off-peak hours). sync.energy Pre-integrated options are available, indicating that common tariffs or time slots may already be configured. sync.energy You may deactivate scheduling if you want to charge instantly. sync.energy ⚠ Considerations and Constraints If smart charging is disabled, the charger will likely begin instantly upon connection, regardless of any established schedule. sync.energy Conflicts may arise if scheduling or charging preferences are also configured in the car. These may supersede or conflict with the charger's timetable. sync.energy The target charge configuration is significant. Setting the lowest or maximum goal charge may need an earlier initiation of the charger to achieve the specified target by the designated conclusion time. sync.energy
