Craigbelont
I just purchased a Mercedes C-Class. I have been driving and observed that my automobile is really rigid and jarring over the city's potholes. Conversely, the roadway is far smoother and more pleasant. I observed that the vehicle tends to slide to the left at the rear end at high speeds (70 mph) over minor bumps. What actions can I do to enhance my riding experience? I own 19-inch alloy wheels. It has been suggested that lowering tire pressure and selecting certain tyres might enhance comfort. What do you believe is causing the automobile to veer significantly to one side while in motion?
Matt865
Worn shock absorbers would result in this issue.
WordSmith
Tyre pressures may assist, along with the brand and type of tyre, but cannot offset the disadvantages of 19-inch wheels and low-profile tyres. It is unclear if this is a new vehicle to you or whether you have driven it for 70,000 miles; nonetheless, the presence of a 'sports suspension' will determine the ride quality. I own 19-inch wheels on my E-Class Coupe, which is a compromise.

keithmerc220
Your vehicle is equipped with a firmer suspension and low-profile tires mounted on 19-inch wheels. Both contribute to the poor ride quality, among other factors.
