  1. I presume your vehicle is more recent than mine (May '17), which may account for the absence of required repairs on yours. The inspection video explicitly indicates that my front suspension is under recall; thus, I will pursue this matter further. Notably, the service assistant failed to inform me, but I have already addressed this issue with her and am determined to resolve it. Had she acted accordingly, I would not have departed from the dealership until I uncovered the truth. As a follow-up inquiry, how were you informed about the recall or the need to verify?
  2. They did not respond to me. Additionally, they must address a leaky F/O/S driveshaft seal, but that is a separate issue. If they do not call by noon tomorrow, I fully plan to see them in the afternoon.
  3. Greetings, everyone - I have a question and would appreciate any insights. Yesterday, my E43 had its first service. Upon conclusion, the dealer provided a video of the ocular inspection. The technician in the video indicates that the front suspension (struts) are subject to a recall and states that the repairs have not been completed due to the extensive nature of the operation, necessitating an additional visit. Notably, the service customer assistant made no reference to it when she provided me with the 'report,' and it is absent from the checklist sheet. I called today to make plans and, after a prolonged wait on hold, was informed that they will return my call (I have not yet received it). Has anybody else had recall work performed on their E43s? Can anybody provide guidance in obtaining a conclusive explanation? Any counsel or sharing of experiences would be much welcomed. PS. I have seen that E43s in the United States are subject to many recalls, although I cannot discover any information about the UK.
  4. I provide electricity to my rear Nextbase dashcam using the provided cable connected to the power outlet in the trunk, discreetly securing the cable as needed. Indeed, one may see the lead; but, who gazes backward?
  5. As already said. This appears to be a boost or sensor problem rather than a gearbox issue.
  6. It seems to be a low battery issue with one of the sensors, albeit I lack expertise in this area.
  7. I recommend consulting your insurance carrier, since I know of one insurer that does not provide coverage for vehicles that have been 'wrapped,' either entirely or partly.
  8. Hello, I own a 2016 CLA 220d AMG Shooting Brake. Upon completely activating the vehicle, it oscillates back and forth, seemingly seeking to engage a gear autonomously. Despite having replaced the valve body, serviced the gearbox, and conducted an intermediate service, the issue remains. What I have read pertains to the potential involvement of a continuously variable gearbox (CVT) or solenoids. Someone provide us with a hint before I submerge it in a river.
  9. The standard size would suffice; nevertheless, I would like a broader brake pedal for enhanced comfort.
  10. Does anybody know whether there is a wider brake pedal option compatible with a right-hand drive 2016 BMW N55 M2?
  11. Expressing gratitude! I just purchased a pre-owned A5. The vehicle is a 2019 A5 SLINE model, in white. The vehicle is equipped with an EA888 2.0 engine that produces 190 horsepower. It has a DQ381 gearbox. The exterior features include black mirrors, black side skirts, a sunroof, a black rear Audi emblem and a small piano black spoiler. The wheels are sized 255/35 R19. The exhaust produces a pleasant growling sound upon starting and when driving, especially when the accelerator pedal is pressed. It is difficult for me to determine whether the exhaust has been relocated. I will be inspecting the oil change in the near future, thus I will monitor it closely. Congratulations to all those involved in the operation of the machinery. I had long harboured a desire for it, and now I have successfully actualized it.
  12. Dear gentlemen, I have just acquired a 2019 Audi A5 Sline. The vehicle was equipped with 19-inch tyres that had dimensions of 255/35 R 19. The tyre has a significantly reduced profile. In the near future, I will need the replacement of two tyres. Do you believe that there is enough room in the wheel arch for the tyre and its ability to be manoeuvred, specifically for a 255/40 R19 tyre?
  13. The misunderstanding over the identification of color(s) in the for-sale ad is likely caused by the combinations of colour options available for the MY2012 5.2 quattro Coupe. Each paint colour is associated with a certain sideblade colour. (Furthermore, customers have the option to select each paint colour with additional sideblade colours or carbon fibre.)
  14. They are not providers of insurance coverage; they are intermediaries who arrange insurance contracts. Therefore, it is important to verify the name of the insurance company with whom they want to secure your insurance policy.
  15. As someone who has never had a preference for convertibles, I am unfamiliar with this topic. However, I would want to know whether there are any disadvantages to raising the convertible top while parking the vehicle. I believed that it just required the simple act of pressing a button and would be completed reasonably quickly. I would be the one responsible for parking the vehicle, since I would prioritise preventing any potential damage to the inside, among other considerations.
  16. Since purchasing this vehicle, I have only driven around 2000 miles. For Bosch brake pads I have discovered this item on eBay, and it seems that someone has recently included "w211" in the title.
  17. Greetings, everyone. The make and model of my automobile is a Mercedes E-Class W211 E280. Upon coming to a halt, a noticeable screeching noise can be heard. The technician said that it would be more beneficial to replace both the brake pads and discs. Is the Bosch brand suitable for my car? I would much appreciate any guidance or recommendations. Thank you.
  18. Thank you for the tip. The vehicle does function, however it lacks indicators, making it quite challenging to operate. I have come across information suggesting that it may be beneficial to remove the instrument fuse for a duration of one hour. I will attempt this method and inspect all of the fuses.
  19. Thank you for the ideas. I have recently examined the battery and found that it has a voltage of 12.4 volts. It is rather recent. The battery connections seemed to be in satisfactory condition, however, they were detached, thoroughly cleaned, and then reinstalled with dialectic grease. Extracted the soil and repeated the process. I also performed the same action for the engine compartment on the driver's side of the Earth vehicle. Examined the instrument fuse located within the dashboard, saw that it seemed to be in good condition, but replaced it anyhow. Although I had hoped that disconnecting the battery would result in a reset, the issue remains same. The vehicle's engine starts, but none of the indicators or gauges on the instrument panel are functioning. The hazards are functioning, but there are no external signs. The horn and radio are functioning well. I need to replace the indicator switch since it is not latching properly. I am concerned that there may be an underlying issue causing this problem. I have a new item that is prepared to be installed. I am now doing a rigorous discharge test on the battery as it is being charged. Do you have any more suggestions?
  20. I have abstained from using my automobile for a few days. When I attempted to use my vehicle tonight, it started up but I saw that the instrument back light, warning lights, indicators, and main beam were not functioning. Work hazards include tail, stop, and reverse. The cigar lighter is capable of providing power to the dash cam without any issues. Has anybody encountered this?
