This is something I experience as well. Along with the "two lights on the steering column" warning, which resembles an eyeball—I'm not sure what it represents—but I certainly pay attention to the road ahead.
Thanks! I'm curious since I fixed my 2012 Vauxhall Corsa with an eBay timing kit in 2021 and haven't had any problems with it since. I drive quite rough, almost like I abuse the engine. My own experience with an aftermarket timing kit (I believe it was BGA) purchased on eBay was rather satisfactory. Consequently, I am posting this inquiry to determine whether aftermarket timing kits are indeed that terrible.
Salutations everyone,
I was hoping someone could tell me if anybody has utilised an eBay timing chain combo.
Their long-term dependability is an open question, although they're a third less expensive than the OEM parts from JLR.
Has anybody tried it out? If so, how was it?
I am grateful.
There may be an issue with the ground connection. Consider connecting a jumper lead from the negative battery terminal to the engine block to see if any response occurs. I also possess a 2016 Clubman SD, which I recognise to be quite complex. Additionally, verify that the ground wire located at the centre rear of the rocker cover is not damaged.
I assume it will not be straightforward, given that information is transmitted via the CAN bus from the DDE.
If you possess a device capable of interpreting the bus, you can connect at the JBE, as that is the source from which the M performance steering wheel obtains its information.
Are you entirely certain that the event occurred at the time you believe it did? A ding on the passenger side or the trunk could remain unnoticed for several days.
I would still replace the batteries, since it may drop below an acceptable level under stress, despite indicating 3.1V. A depleted key fob battery may exhibit issues such as these.
Understood, thank you.
For the sum of £23, I may just get the emulator.
I have only adults seated in the front, and if a collision occurs that is sufficient to deploy the airbag, I am certain that my vehicle would be deemed a total loss regardless.
