  1. Is it not possible for you to deactivate the front ones, like I can with my previous X5? The ticking sound you refer to occurs when your ear is placed near the sensor; if operational, a ticking will be audible.
  2. The ECUs are known to float inside their container, obstructing the drain hole. It is advisable to inspect for a tide mark at the bottom of the ECU, since water may have infiltrated. If such is the situation, you may either fix it if you are so motivated or get a new and reprogram it.
  3. I encountered the same issue. Visited the dealership with the V5 document, and they explicitly said that they removed the prior owner.
  4. hat did the previous owner do to the driver's seat? Was he/she colossal?
  5. The headlights on my W211 consistently fog up annually, despite regular cutting and polishing to restore transparency. Extremely bothersome - is there a coating available that can be applied to mitigate this issue? The impact is significant in the rural areas during winter. Thank you
  6. As already said. Furthermore, should they consent to a complimentary replacement, anticipate that your vehicle will be inoperable for the entire period, namely from now till the dealer obtains approval from MB, procures the part, and executes the repair.
  7. I do not perceive. Recall 2090008 - repair the EGR cooler and update the engine electronics The software has just two airbags and one more item that was not specified. What does this upgrade entail?
  8. Do you own an image that might assist?
  9. Additionally, I assume you are unaware whether the larger discs and callipers from the 4.8 are directly compatible.
  10. That is excellent news. I test drove it; it was smooth and felt satisfactory.
  11. Hello everyone, I am new to BMWs and am in the process of purchasing a 2004 X5 3.0i equipped with the M54 engine. What are people's opinions on this engine? Is it reliable or problematic? Any assistance or advise would be much appreciated. 👍
  12. Is there anybody in the Kent area that has an OBD reader? Please direct message me. I am experiencing an orange engine warning light that beeps three times upon starting. Alternatively, if someone could indicate the potential issue, I would appreciate it. I was travelling on the freeway when a notification appeared about the fuel for a 2013 Peugeot 208 1.2. Assistance needed.
  13. To facilitate cranking without initiating the start, it is likely most effective to detach the cam sensor connector. On the M57, this was rather simple since it is situated at the front upper section of the engine. On the N57, it is located at the upper back, but may be readily accessed after removing the engine cover.
  14. My brother purchased a 2017 Mercedes C220 from Kiltybane Logistics in June, it was not completely perfect. Delivery arrived on day ten rather than day seven, and there was a small scuff on one alloy wheel that had not been mentioned. To their credit, once he sent photographs, they offered a partial refund to cover refurbishment, he accepted and kept the vehicle in the end. Overall, he was satisfied and has had no mechanical issues since.
  15. We have over 16,000 on our 2021 model in Hawaii, and the average consistently registers at a minimum of 44.6 according to the computer.
  16. Greetings, I am the proud owner of an R170 SLK. The fluid level in the roof is currently below the minimal threshold. May I get guidance on fluid replacement? Thank you.
  17. At what point was the oil last changed prior to accumulating 13,000 miles since the purchase?
  18. The vehicle has not been maintained for 18 months. Although BMW recommends maintenance every 24 months, there is one aspect that they would likely notice. However, I would strongly resist complying with their recommendation.
  19. These engines are susceptible to changes in vacuum pressure. Perform a smoke test on the automobile to detect any leaks. It seems that the problem persists when the temperature is warm, but is concealed by the warm environment. Most likely, the reason is that the ICV (Idle Control Valve) is closed, resulting in a reduced occurrence of hoover leaks.
