Supercars from Nick Mason in the garden
keithmerc220 replied to Darrellll's topic in General Discussions
The great unwashed have considerably easier access than ever before to get up close and personal with supercars these days, so it's definitely personal. Nick, his wife, and their beloved Ferrari were a sight to behold at the former residence of Queen Camilla. Describe myself as "old fashioned." -

Indeed, I am concerned that once he departs, the 1962 250 GTO (which was recently valued at approximately £50 million) will no longer be visible to the public and will most certainly not be placed on someone's lawn so that the general public can examine it closely, just like I was able to do a few years ago. -

To get to his residence on two wheels, park at the Corsham CoOp and pedal over. -

Those of us who don't drive "need" to-be-seen Supercars in his parking lot Bikes could be used for the final few miles. Wow, it's terrible. If not, you should allow at least an hour for entry and another hour for exit. And even more if it rains and churns the field. However, take advantage of this while you can because Nick Mason is 82 years old.Hoping you could make it? -

Be aware, as I indicated a year ago, the traffic on the Bath road, the only way to reach Middle Wick Lane, is becoming worse during this time of year. The other day, I was driving through that area when I noticed AA "yellow" signs alerting drivers of the heavy traffic. By the McDonald's on the bypass, I even noticed more displayed further down the road. Reason being, the area's bypasses are undergoing a tremendous amount of road construction. Since there is only one route to enter Nick's house and one way to leave, through his neighbor's private land, I am unsure of how they will enforce this. It is my sincere hope that no one will miss this event, so I urge everyone to arrive early on Saturday. It would be unfortunate if this event had to be rescheduled because of how popular it is. You may always spend the weekend at Nick's place and then head a little distance to the Cherished vehicle exhibition on Sunday.

If you're still having trouble with high grip after adjusting the tyre pressures to the correct levels, try checking the vehicle's PDI import center; sometimes vehicles leave with the pressures set to transport, and dealers aren't great at fixing this. -

61 kWh should be more than enough for me as I'm not a boy racer. I will be satisfied if it can securely overtake when needed. During my test drive, I noticed that the Renault 4 possessed a surprising amount of power. Instead of waiting for the Kia, I would have bought it immediately if it had a battery with a little more range. In my opinion, the R4's cabin is both very sophisticated and attractive. In particular, I appreciate you taking time out of your vacation to provide feedback in the form of your comments. -

Their enthusiasm has been contagious. There is a lot of available torque; yet, this 42 kWh battery is slightly more powerful than the larger battery variant. -

It seems like the EV2 is a good fit for the 18" Hankook tires. They have been standard on VAG vehicles for a while now. In my experience, the tread life and traction of the Hankook Ventus Prime 3 or 4 tires are satisfactory. On the winding, hilly roads of Cornwall, how would you rate the overall performance of the car? It would be helpful to hear about your experiences with steep climbs as my test drive did not involve any. -
After a 40-mile round drive to the Eden project, I thought it would be a good idea to share my (positive) feelings today. I was curious to see how the Hankook tires fared in dry and wet weather as I've never had a vehicle with those tires before. These tires were straight out of the factory; they had the low grip of new tires and made the steering seem too light. It's something I've seen before when tires are brand new, so I wasn't worried. The novelty has worn off, and the right amount of grip has finally arrived. From what I can tell, they are up to the task of handling the EV2's (42kWh) nimble acceleration with ease. The return trip on the A30 over Bodmin Moor today was accompanied by heavy rain and a lot of standing water due to the weather. Even with 400 miles on the tyres, they handled the road with ease, and I noticed no slipping or swaying of the heavy steering. I will add a couple of spots where I can tighten the grip when I return home, so I will do that eventually.

If you plan on retaining it, you should investigate mb service plans.

I appreciate your feedback, however those wheels are authentic MB 20-inchers. I will contact my local MB dealer to find out how much the key fob and coding will cost. Then, I will determine the price of the full service. Thank you everyone for your help; this is a wonderful community. I appreciate it. -

I don't think locking nuts are necessary anymore because alloys are so common, unless the wheels are exceptionally unique. Other perspectives would be interesting to hear. In terms of a specialist, I would recommend Mercland as Nuneaton is not too far away. -

One, be ready to spend £300 or more. 2. Just which service is lacking? The fourth-year service is extensive and includes replacing the cabin filter, brake fluid, air filter, and spark plugs (petrol) or fuel filters (diesel) as well as the brake fluid and air filters. Included in the fifth year's service is Service A, as well as ATF and filter change (automatic if applicable). Can you provide me with a copy of the DSB that shows the progress made so far? 3. You have a lot of options; you can acquire them from MB, Febi online, or simply choose not to wear them. Do you have authentic MB wheels or are they aftermarket? -
Yes, unless something changes, MB will not release any cloning software after 2016 ISH. 2. It's service-specific; some demand additional stuff. To keep up with the mb ess, you'll need things like brake fluid, air filters, fuel filters, and fuel. 3. You Name It.

Hello, I am in search of some knowledge regarding a couple subjects. I've done my research, including checking with HP Finance to see if the vehicle has an exceptional MOT history, etc., and I'm hoping to purchase a 2019 E class convertible. If anyone has any ideas or can assist me figure out my concerns, please let me know. (1) The car only has one key fob. Can I just buy replacement key fobs from this major dealer, or is there somewhere else I can acquire one? Since it is behind schedule and missed a service, I was wondering how much the full service version will cost. The e-class is sitting on 20-inch wheels without locking wheel nuts; does anyone know where I can buy them, other than MB Main Dealer? (3) I'd rather not take it there. Much obliged.
