jimmy47785
Greetings, December 2014 Estate C220d 7G, 109,000 km, first gearbox service. I am uncertain if I need 6 or 10 litres of oil. Conflicting information on the torque converter suggests that the issue pertains to vehicles manufactured before to 2010. How can I determine whether my vehicle is equipped with a torque converter? How can I ascertain whether it is 7G+? Should the plastic overflow be replaced or not? Thank you for any assistance!
bvlenci
You will get a TC, and I will obtain 10 litres of ATF. You are familiar with the procedure to follow, and the oil must be pumped in. The only reason for my inquiry is that many occasionally assume the method is same to that of 5G, where oil may be added, and once emptied, one may find themselves incapacitated without a pump. I would purchase a kit, which generally includes a new overflow tube.
DSM10000
It is really complex, one of the few matters for which I consult an independent mechanic. The cost difference relative to DIY is minimal.
badgx
Utilising Fuchs ATF oil will result in cost savings. A source such as www.opieoils.co.uk is commendable.

jimmy47785
Indeed, I have seen several vids. A buddy is doing the job in the garage, and I am only ensuring that I get the correct quantity of oil. It is not an action he typically does, yet it is not his first occurrence. Thank you
AMG33D
Ten litres of oil are necessary for a complete ATF replacement. It is a torque converter, and you probably own a 7G+ gearbox. It has missed an automatic gearbox fluid change, which is scheduled every five years.
clk320x4
Hello, I own a 2014 W205 2.2 diesel saloon with a 7G gearbox. What is the part number for the gearbox repair kit? Is Meyle a reputable brand? Additionally, do I need 8L or 10L of oil, and will I need to purchase any additional components for the ATF? Thank you for your assistance. jimmy47785
I acquired the kit on eBay from Mercedes Edinburgh / Mercedes authentic parts. Send them your registration, and they will provide a link to the necessary elements. I acquired the eBay item with the number 155464543393. I paid £200; it is now advertised at £149.
