ForumGuru
I am experiencing difficulties with my alarm constantly sounding; I want to deactivate the alarm siren since I suspect the internal battery is malfunctioning. I am certain it is located on the passenger side (left side) of the vehicle, but I am uncertain of the precise placement. Does anybody have information on the precise location? Thank you
bvlenci
Are you certain this vehicle is an S212 and not a W212?
ForumGuru
Indeed, the S212 designates the estate variant, whereas the W212 refers to the saloon model. It is inconsequential; I resolved it last night.
PixelMaster
The 'S' and 'W' phenomenon is rather peculiar. S means Saloon in English and Salon (or limousine) in German W = Waggon (in American English) and Wagen in German Unless you are the German producer of automobiles. Interchange the two: S = Saloon and W = Waggon No, me neither. I am certain that someone here has the solution.
ForumGuru
Indeed, I get your point; nonetheless, a Google search for Merc S212 yields results for estates, while W212 pertains to saloons.
