Could someone kindly provide instructions on how to disable the alarm system while leaving my canine companion alone in a vehicle? SkippyTom Posted August 21 Share Posted August 21 Navigate to the 'Vehicle' option located on the front screen's left side. Scroll to the left and choose 'Convenience'. Next, locate the 'Advance Anti Theft' option and uncheck the box. The Gen 4 Sportage has a physical on/off button located in the overhead console, making it more convenient. Rashman4u Posted August 21 Share Posted August 21 Additionally, the Kia Connect app offers a feature to deactivate the 'Advanced Anti Theft' alert. To access the Advanced Anti Theft settings, go to the Home Screen on the Connect app and click 'More' at the bottom. Then, go to User Settings > User Profile > Vehicle Settings > Vehicle Settings (again) > Convenience. Finally, ensure that the 'Advanced Anti Theft' option is deselected.
